Best suspension mod(s) to make Clubman handle like Hardtop

OK, so what is the best mod(s) to make the Clubman handle more like the Cooper hardtop, besides chopping off about 2 feet or getting a CMS?

Although the Clubman is fun to drive compared with other cars, there is a very noticable difference in the corners compared to the hardtop. Will rear sways get the Clubman to feel more like a hardtop? Froint strut bar? Lowered?

The best bang for the buck is by far a rear sway bar. Start with an Hsport comp bar on the middle setting and drive it then decide if you need more handling as you can build on the car with the sway bar.

Man, what he said! I installed Way's TSW rear sway bar earlier this year. It's a night-and-day difference in handling. Mine's on the middle setting; I'm happy there but next time I do anything involving the rear wheels, I'm going to switch them to the stiffer setting.

I've read it's wise to upgrade the endlinks when putting on sways as the stock ones tend to break. Does this hold true for the one Way recommended?

Bratling, did you upgrade your endlinks as well?

This is totally NOT TRUE, this is a common scare tactic used by other companies to trick you into buying end links with their sway bar. I think in the last 11yrs I've only replaced less than 5 endlinks for them being broken. And usually they get broken by someone not taking them apart at one time.

You ONLY need the end links if you want to corner weight the car, or set the sway bar for no preload. Which these are good reasons to install, but most street cars don't need them for just fun use.

My R55 pushes hard also in the corners. This bar changes that for the better eh?

Good to know

So which bar typically gets recommended if you just want to have more fun during everyday driving and no intention of Auto-x?

OMG yeah, on stock runflats I could get it to rotate at will, but with stickier Mich Pilot Super Sports it take some serious abrupt throttle lift and throw the car into a turn. I can easily do Treeline at 90-130mph or the Alico onramp to SB 75 from West Alico at 70+.

Go test drive a paceman or countryman , then you'll know it's just fine like it is.
