New Clubman order-should I wait?
I am in the process of ordering a new base 2014 Clubman. I currently have a base 09 Mini that has served me well and I would like thoughts on the revised Clubman which would probably I think come out for 2015. Should I wait for the driving reviews of the new Mini coming out in March or should I just go ahead now with the 2014?

We've owned our 2011 Clubman S (3 door, of course) for only a couple of weeks but absolutely love it. The suicide door has been great for easy access to our young kids in the rear. The car zips around town effortlessly and is very easy to live with. Not so sure I like the look of the 2015 model...

The Clubman is by far the quirkiest Mini of them all and I mean that in a good way. it's also hands down my favorite model. And it looks fantastic just like it is........

Not knowing much on your background with the car, have you already driven the Clubman and compared it to the other models? I was almost set on getting a clubman, but after driving the "hardtop" I changed my mind, and went for the original instead, just for a few reasons such as the limited rear view with the split doors, more wind noise where the club door and front door meet, and a little less agility. You definitely get a little more Cushy ride with the clubman, but it's still no 7-series. I definitely agree with you though about it being the quirkiest model. You have to check out that club door and how the seatbelt is mounted, which makes the rear a little hard to access. I think the new car will offer you more value when it comes down to the size, features, and IMO, reliability. The current cars haven't been the epitome of reliability as I and many others can attest to. I think BMW has spent lots of money on making this new MINI better made from top to bottom, and the new F series will have actual BMW engines, whereas currently the car is a Peugeot-BMW mutt. Don't get me wrong, I love my car, I just think if you have the time and you can wait for the new car, it wouldn't hurt to wait to see what you think. It would be terrible to buy a car, and a few months later be sick over jumping on the current car instead of the new one. Weigh out the pros and cons of new vs current model, waiting vs buying now, etc... Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using NAMotoring
