Rear trunk trim vent keeps falling out?
Ok,
So I installed a small powered sub in the rear of my Clubman.
(It works really well, fits great, and does not fill the back of the hatch area!)
In the process of gaining access to wires, I popped out (thought I could.. anyhow) the rear drivers side "vent" where the hatch light sits. It popped out, I didn't think much of it. It looked like it could pop out since it made getting to the rear running lights REAL easy
Gained access to all my wires and went to down by reaching inside the panel.
That worked until I went to pop the vent back in.
There are no tabs, it appears to have been "glued" or "welded" to the fuzzy liner.
A search on RealOem shows its "part" of the rear panel and not a replaceable part.

Its not a big deal, but its annoying.. I'm not going to try to blame Mini for this and ask to have it replaced since I "broke" it.
Anyone ever glue this thing back in? Velcro tabs? I just don't want to make a mess with glue/epoxy on the carpet.
I was thinking of making mounting tabs, but its thin plastic.. not a lot of "space" to work with.
Open to suggestions.

Well, after plastic welding some new tabs on...
They broke off as I was installing it. Lol.
Realized that I could bolt/screw on a metal cross brace made out of thin junk scrap. There are small holes in the rear of the vent. I used these holes to mount some junk sheet metal screws. I bent the bracket snug, it all popped back in. I had to pry part of the carpet back. It was a tight fit, but I got it.
