Things you LOVE (or don't love) about your Clubman?
I've got a 2011 Justa hardtop. It's coming time I think I need more space. I'm considering the R55...but am having a REALLY hard time deciding whether to give in and trade my mini or not. (It's not an option to have both)
So tell me, are there things specifically you like, love, or dislike about having your Clubman? Any and all input is appreciated!

I love the size. Big enough to carry 4 ppl for a few hours( 2 kids...) Big enough to carry groceries home from the store. The boot in a MCS was too small. Still a blast to drive. Still has MINI quirks, like the over sensitive warning lights....
My daughter loves it. The rear visibility takes a few days to get used to. The boot is always dirty, if you have clean car OCD.
On the plus side, it has rain gutters that apparently MCS don't have.....
I love my 2009 S. Waiting for the 2015 F55 to come out now.....

I've always loved the idea of the barn doors, but I simply am having hard time getting over the fact that its longer than my Justa. However, the extra space would be perfect. Glad you are happy with your decision!

I agree with many of the pluses. I really like the barn doors and definitely prefer it to a hatch.
I am ambivalent about the club door. It tends to rattle a bit. My daughters complain that it is less than ideal method to gain access, particularly because the two need to access from only one side of the car.

I'm a new clubman S owner, so I'm still in the honeymoon stage, but I love the flat load floor. I've got two small dogs, and the car works well for a couple of people and their doggies.
Plus, looooove the barn doors. Not sure why I like them so much more than a hatchback, but I really do.

The barn doors are awesome until somebody parks too close behind you in a parking lot and you can't open them without moving the car forward. The club door also suffers from the same issue if you're too close to something on the side. That creates what I call the "Bermuda Triangle" effect.
That's not a deal breaker by any means. Just something I point out to people thinking the funny doors are going to be amazing and perfect.
I've had my Clubbie S for 3 years now and absolutely love the car. It's tiny for when I go into the city for parking (which is often), it's absolutely a pleasure to drive, and it's beautiful. I wanted one the second I first saw one in the wild. It's querky and unique. Exactly what I like in cars. The extra space over the R56 seems nominal, but functionally it's night and day. I have plenty of friends with R56 and I've played with them and tried to sit in the back seat. That car shouldn't have a back seat. I've hauled things people would never believe fit in an R55. For example, you can get an 8' piece of lumber INSIDE the R55 with the back closed. It only fits just right and you aren't able to transport enough lumber to build a house, but a weekend project, not an issue.
Overall the Clubbie is amazing and I would never trade it for an R56 if I could only have one. Having one of each would be a dream...

I have both a hardtop and clubman in my garage. 2 distinct different uses, wife drives her hardtop to work, carries only 3 bowling ***** in back. Clubman carries groceries, 8 bowling ***** and can carry passengers in back. The 3rd door makes the rear seat usable.
Love that a clubman S can carry a spare for our trips which we would not take in the hardtop due to lack of room and lack of a spare.
That video is stupid, they put steering wheel on wrong side of car.

Thanks everyone for your input! I made the jump, and traded my R56 on Saturday. Heres a picture of my new baby, about five minutes after we pulled in the driveway - stayed stock for barely an hour! Then second pic is of tint added yesterday =)

I can't figure out why my 09 clubman won't read my o2 sensors? I've replaced them (2 , up and downstream) more than once. Are there more than 2? Could it be the wiring? I can't pass emissions in my state and have to pay extra to get an emissions waver when getting my safety inspection. Any suggestions?
