Brake Service?

My dad has a 2010 clubman s and he said a yellow light came on, it's a picture of a car up on a lift and then his red brake light came on. It drives fine though. I'm thinking it just needs a brake fluid flush? Any ideas?

Brake fluid could be low.

I think he has probably tripped one of the sensors. He needs to assess how much pad material he has left.

Check the pad sensor/pad thickness as pointed out by j and brake fluid should be changed every two years or 20 to 30K miles without fail.

The display in the tacho tells you what the reason is for the service warning - but you may have to read the manual to work out what the symbol means.

Same lights came on when I owned my 2011 Justa Clubman at 26,000 miles, Dealer told me I needed a complete brake job that was covered by the 3 year service deal. Since I didn't have to pay anything I didn't ask any questions.
