no stickies here...

So my fiancee and I are looking to pick up 2012 clubman with some higher miles on it. Roughly 105k on it

The clutch seems to be in good shape. It doesn't burn oil according to the owner. I'm guessing that like any car it'll need some maintenance.

Would you add anything else to this list?

Wheel bearings
Ball joints
Tranny flush
Differential flush
Coolant flush
Synthetic oil
New spark plugs and wires
Maybe timing? I'm assuming it's a chain? Tensioner, magnet sensors, guides.

Am I missing anything else? I know the person we'd be buying this off of very well. I know that his driving is all highway. But I fear he isn't the person maintain his according to the book. More likely fix it when it breaks.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

It's a 2012 JCW Edition

And good to know thanks. I'm semi ready for a decent amount of work. Just want to order parts that need to be ordered. I give my buddy money tomorrow morning and would take delivery Friday next week.

Brake pads and discs and struts
Wiper blades
Tires (rotate every 5K)
Real good interior clean so the K9 unit won't find where he kept his stash and get you busted.

Haha too funny dude.

If I'm going to be replacing the struts, wouldn't it be wise just do a full coil over suspension and get it over with? My woman wanted something comparable to her kW variant 3 that she had in her s4. Any comparable CO's for the clubman?

Its correct. My buddy who was the owner drives back and forth from san Francisco and Boston seattle to boston pretty much weekly. Last year he did 52k for work. Its crazy but he makes.the big bucks.

Its a 2012 JCW Clubamn, very nice , post up some pics. That's some serious mileage per year.

Its the last year of the N14 engine in JCW version of course. Plugs , coils ( no wire set ), cabin filter, air filter, oil change of course, transmission oil change would be good. Check the brake fluid change interval , its every two years now. Check the main drive belt. Thermostat housing ( check it to make sure no leaks ), water pump , check for leaks. And make sure its had any outstanding MINI recalls. You might want to have the timing chain checked for slack by MINI. Inspect brakes and rotors/ pads. Wiper blades , check them out front and rear, has two on the back.

Thanks and good luck.
