cash handed over and title in hand
With a little debate my old lady pulled.the trigger on a 2012 JCW Clubman with 104k. So congrats to her... now my fun with a little help from you all shall begin.
I'll post some pics as soon as we pick it up later this afternoon. But in terms of color its black w/red roof and mirrors. Pretty standard nothing special. With the mileage comes some wear. So here comes my questions.
The brakes and rotors are decently worn. Should I buy oem from the dealer or do you all have a favorite after market brand?
It needs new plugs. Does the clubman like a specific plugs more than others? I'm partial to NGK Iridiums
In a quick and undetailed thread someone mentioned that I should replace the struts. I found a set of KW variant 2s for a great deal... would anyone not do a full co setup? Or should I go with the OEM?
I know wheels are always a touchy subject, but last night she was up until 3am sending me links of wheels. She asked that I put the links up and have you all pick. winner of most popular gets thh purchase. I should have forementioned that the roof will be vinyl'd black and the mirrors some sort of orange.

Any who, we're both excited to have a new project around the house. Thanks for all and any input.

Welcome
Good news is that car uses NGK iridiums stock
http://www.waymotorworks.com/spark-p...-cooper-s.html
FYI they take a special socket to remove
For brakes don't bother with the OEMs, they are very dusty. We use the EBC Redstuff, must less dust and good feel.
You only need to replace the struts if they are actually worn out.
For wheels I can't pick out shoes for your wife so I won't try to pick wheels for her either.

Agreed.
Get the black wheels, but not gloss ones.
So is the car 2 years old with 104k miles? Let's see if the car is 730 days old, or 2 years, then that means whoever drove it had to drive around 142 miles per day on average...by contrast I've driven mine on average 7 miles per day over a 9 month period for 2k miles.
