Koni Yellow's Installed
I didn't have time to install these myself, so I had them installed yesterday. They are AWESOME.
The original owner of my car went straight from signing for the car to a tuning shop, where they installed H&R Sport Springs and 20" Motegi cast wheels, without doing the shocks. The car rode like ****, to put it mildly, when I bought the car in November '13. I swapped the wheels out immediately to the original 16's. The ride was improved, but still bumpy as all get out. Fast forward to the middle of this year. I purchased the Koni Yellow's on sale (sale has been extended and is still going on currently) and in the mean time, took a vacation, bought and remodelled a house, kids and more kid stuff. Therefor, I had them installed. I asked for them to be set at just shy of middle of two full turns. This thing is so cool now. I'm aiming at potholes to see if I can feel them.
I was just driving my buddy's 997 911 C4S around and I absolutely love the suspension in that thing. It soaks up speed bumps, freeway expansion joints, and potholes like nothing I've ever been in. I think the Mini, the way it is setup now, is a close second. I'll dial them in a bit more over the next few months, but as it sits today... WOOT!!!! I love this car again.
If you're thinking about buying them, Yellow's for a lowered Mini, FSD's for OEM height, DO IT.
