Tire Recommendation on a Base Clubman

Hey guys, do you have any tire recommendations for a base Clubman? I have 25.5k mikes on my car, and I am able to see the top of Lincoln's head using the penny test on all 4 tires. The sidewalks show some sights of cracking as well.

I am looking for all season tires, since I am in the Midwest and something that will last longer in terms of mileage. Also, is it normal for the stock tires to wear out this quickly? I don't drive like a race car driver or track the car, so I am curious how many miles everyone else has driven on the stock tires ( non run flats). Thanks!

Tires for Clubman

Since you have a base Clubman, I am assuming it has a15 inch tires, thats what came on my 2011 Clubman. Any all season tires will work, as your car initially came with all season tires on it. I would check with Sams Club, Costco and some local tires shops . You can also go on line i.e. see vendors list on this site and buy the tires and they will tell you where you can have them put on locally . They either ship the tires to your house or the installer . Currently I have Kumos all season on my car and have been happy with them.

My 2010 OEM 175/65-15 Continental PremiumContact 2 summer tires had 14,000 miles on them when I traded the car in. They had less than half their tread left.

Wow, that is really terrible mileage. I will switch to a different brand for all season tires from the stock Continentals (they are not cheap either).

Thank you both for your recommendations.

Just remember there is an inverse relationship between tire mileage (longevity) and performance. The better the tire performance (better grip at all speeds) the faster it will wear out. Of course you are the only one that knows your requirement but my suggestion is that high mileage expectations of 50-60K miles per tire set is a thing of the past where tires weren't that good. Better tires have softer rubber that grips the road better, much better, but don't last too long. The only good thing about all this is that tires at your size are fairly cheap (as opposed to my SUV with 20" wheels...)

Last, I think that good tires are a must. I'd rather save on other things than try to go cheap on tires for safety reasons.

Hope this helps.
