Questions regarding Chrome Hood Scoop.

I drive a 2013 R55 Clubman. I have recently bought a Factory Chrome hood scoop to install. I see kits with a heat shield and one without. I have also seen forum posts where the dealer has installed a heat shield because apparently earlier versions of the 2nd Generation didn't have them on the turbos. My Clubman has a heat shield installed directly to the turbo. Will I also need the extra heat shield or should the current one suffice?

Thanks for any info.

I believe this was insurance on the chrome version so it would possibly warp over time like the stock painted version. On the scoop.

The main heat shield on the turbo / DP is on all of the turbos, curnverd one wih the do not touch logo. #17.

Scoop heat shield info here.

I have #17. So if I am installing the Chrome Hood scoop, then I will still need to get the heat shield?

Edit: On a side note, I wish I had asked earlier, your hood scoop was 7 dollars cheaper then what I paid on Ebay. :(

I have a 2009 that came with a factory chrome scoop that warped and flaked the chrome. I installed all the heat shields and then put in a BFN chrome scoop.. The new scoop after 6 months has just started to flake the chrome. I'm not happy.
