Monty got new shoes

Just came home, after a short drive, from Tire Kingdom in Jupiter, Florida. They fitted Monty with four Michelin Pilot Sport A/S3 205/55R16 91V, and so far I'm very happy.

For those of you that prefer "run flats", I have four Continental 19/55 R16 87V with less than 5,800 miles on them for sale.

Excellent choice on the tires..................I have them on my clubbie. I think its the best tire out there at this time. I'm running 17's though.

factory run flats after 5K are like used up in my experience. And let me know how those tires are after 1K , allmost any tire feels good for first 2-300 miles.

I'm looking soon myself and those are one on my list.

Please explain, and outline your "experience" of tire ratings.

OEM bridges tones were never great in rain or dry , very harsh hard ride , both my 2013 and wife's 2011 R56 . After about 5k miles the wet traction was poor and the snow / ice was dangerous , I know it's not rated for it but the same snow ice day my car with conti extreme DW , a total summer only did just fine. I think the stiff side walls make rfts just bad tires for slick conditions.

Wife refuses to havr rfts ever again and I never plan to switch back either.

Just my opinion and experience

So you are giving your opinion(s) about the tires I'm offering for sale without any personal experience. The purpose of my original thread is I too don't like like
run flats. why are you dissing the tires I'm offering for sale?

Hope you'll be happy for the next 45K+ miles on them. Mich AS3 has a warranty of 45K and I am pushing 50K on mine with still plenty of tread. I live right up in the Mason Dixon line where we get a fair share of snow on occasion and it has performed quite well for an all season performance tires. Key is to keep it rotated every 4-5K miles.

Enjoy your new tires!

Oops, just realize you're in southeast - no snow, no worries!
