Question - Day of Delivery RunFlats Coming Off
What is a fair price to ask for Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Run Flat tires, that you take off at delivery??? Tire Rack shows them new at $239.20
I want Continental Extreme Contact DWS 06 instead, and having them replaced before driving off my dealer's lot.
I am taking delivery in about a week and a half in the Chicagoland area, someone would have to pay $956.80 - new from TireRack, so what would be a fair price to ask for these 225/45R17???
I was thinking $500.00 maybe?
Thanks, everyone

Tirerack has two listing for the Pirelli Centurato P7 Run Flat (W- OR Speed Rated) in 225/45 R17. One for $135.45 each and the other for $148.45 each. That's $541.80 for the set at the lower price. At that price, without shipping, assuming you can find a local buyer, you might be able to get $400 for the set with a little patience. There are 3 reviews on the tire and 2 of them are not very good.
BTW, I have the Continental DWS 06 on my 2009 Clubman S and like them a lot. They do wander a little if inflated over 38 PSI or so, but the steering response is excellent so they don't need to be over inflated. They're definitely a sporty tire with a ride somewhere between a run flat and a traditional tire. The ride is firm but supple at the same time. Dry and wet grip is very good. I'm running a 205/55 R16. Good tire choice.

Thanks for the info. I am glad you like the DWS 06, as I kept going back and forth trying to figure which ones.
However, on the OE Run Flats, I just checked Tire Rack right now and on these the OE Ones, and the All Season ones are still showing 239.20 per tire.
I am so looking to my first MINI in about another week

I actually took away from the run flats because they wear quicker and cost significantly more. Plus, if it shreds on the road I'd need to get it towed regardless. The only beneficial use I see for the run flats is if you hit a nail or hard debris. I have these on my Mini. Work well in the rain as well and stick like glue on a dry day. https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires...=045YR7S04PPXL

I'd probably avoid saying anything about them being OE tires for any specific vehicle so they appeal to more buyers, but you will need to mention that they were immediately removed from your vehicle because you had a preference for a different tire.
What MINI did you buy?

Thanks again, for the info...
I bought a 2017 Clubman All4 Cooper S, Melting Silver with the Indigo Blue Chesterfield Seats. Should be in Monday at dealers they say, but i am a bit busy and can't pick up for about another week or so after

Although I have read negative reviews of run-flat tires in general before recently purchasing my first MINI, I decided that, similar to my prior cars, I'd run the OEM tires until it was time to swap them out from general wear. I find the Pirelli All-Season 17"s to be fine for highway and spirited back-road driving, but maybe the Clubman is so much quieter and more agile than my former Passat that I'm not noticing how the tires are contributing. I'm banking on putting 20k a year on the car and swapping them out before I shred one ;-)
