A Scangauge is your most cost effective way to get gauges. I have one in each of my MINI
On an N18 engine you can get coolant temp, Oil temp, and Oil pressure along with many more including air fuel ratio.

Another option is an OBD2 -> BT adapter and then get the Torque app on your phone. That won't get you oil temp or oil pressure but will get you most anything else. This is by far the cheapest way to monitor your car - under $25. Do a search here, there are plenty of threads about this.
If you want physical round gauges that match the interior then the CravenMarshall kit is the way to go. Scangauge will monitor anything and is cheaper than the Craven/Marshall gauges but is a bit aesthetically challenged.
