Being the resonated version, should be pretty mild.

You've made me jealous AGAIN

apologies

GP2 Belly Pan just came in today and my WMW 25.5mm RSB is waiting to go in! Going to be a fun install day in a couple weeks!

planning on tearing into it on a Friday after work so I can finish up on Saturday should the need arise (Saturdays are my only day off)

46,600 miles today and finally got to my oil change. Went a bit over due to COVID but kept an eye in oil level every gas tank. Glad to say its not burning a drop

Got to install my GP2 Belly Pan also! Bought it from ECS. Their kit included most of the hardware needed. Needed to pull a speed screw from the trim I removed from the car but all good. The Pan had some scuff marks also as received from ECS but they was superficial, no big deal

Cant wait to drive it tomorrow and enjoy the improved aero, fuel savings, and #RACECAR that this upgrade will offer!

But seriously, pretty excited its on the car.

Bad communication, seller sold the exhaust to a local buyer. Oh well.

Need to schedule a walnut blast and some other maintenance anyway. May still delete secondary cat to see if theres any better sound and cooler engine temps

Update!!!

I've been having more and more road noise coming from the rear. Thought it may have been an alignment issue since everything is nice and tight but it turns out the tires are cupping bad.

Ordered two new BFG Comp-2 A/S

Possible reasons for tires cupping? No rotation (i've never rotated them) and bad shocks (tires bouncing while rotating).

Ordered Bilstein B12 Pro Kit. Also ordered a "Cup Kit Install Kit" from ECS with new factory Front and Rear mounts, hardware, etc.

So much for not modding the old girl now that she has a new stable mate that needs attention.

Big day yesterday!!!

Mileage: 50,351

Went to a friend's shop to get some parts installed.

Bilstein B12 Pro Kit
WayMotorWorks 25.5mm Hollow Rear Sway Bar
MarioKart NGK Stage 2 Plugs
BFG Comp-2 A/S Tires (2)

Installing everything was a breeze. What an easy car to do suspension work to. I was worried about the sheer size of the rear sway bar but dropping the subframe by removing the 4 bolts worked like a charm. Installed new mounts and hardware with the Bilstein Kit sourced from ECS tuning also.

Word to the wise when doing an install with a friend. Double check everything!!!! When I put the driver's side front strut assembly in, he bolted some bolts, I did the others and I forgot that the sway bar link was my job... The first test drive resulted in a bent sway bar link that almost blew out my new tire lol. $46 and a trip to the local mini dealership (parts delivery was closed for the day) and we were back on the road. Did an alignment and everything went great! (Toe alignment on the rear is a pain given all the JCW aero underneath hindering bolt access).

Rear Sway bar is a very worthwhile upgrade!!!! Should have done the install months ago when it arrived.

Bilstein B12 Pro Kit. Its firmer than the factory JCW suspension (Mine only had 50K miles on it at time of removal) but its very comfortable. If i didnt check how many fingers i could fit between tires and body (before and after) I would swear that the kit didnt lower the car at all lol. Im sure it will settle in the next couple days/weeks and sit a bit lower. Cant tell if the rear sits lower than front yet, should have taken pre-install measurements... oh well.

Also swapped spark plugs at Mario's suggestion. Barely had 30K on the NGKs he sold me when I did stage 2 but an easy enough item to service to keep everything running tip top. Plus its always great to get all the candy Mario includes with all his parts orders haha.

Some pics from yesterday will be posted below!

Nice!

I agree, looks like the front didn't lower at all, and the rear went down maybe 1/2"?
You can measure the ride height and compare to the official specs.

With that neg 2.2 deg camber in the rear you need adj control arms to reduce it and get some more tire life.

As of yesterday evening, Im officially Mini-less.

After many months of having a live For Sale ad going on the forum, the right buyer made the right offer and the JCW Clubman is gone, headed to its new home on the west coast!

It was a great car that served our family very well but ultimately its time for me to get into something larger with more space for the kids and daily driving duties.

Good bye old friend:

Picking up the new daily tomorrow. 2017 CPO XC90 Inscription.

Hi guys! I'm the proud new owner of DGI's Clubman. Just got delivered last night and I'm in the process of getting it registered in CA. Passed smog by the skin of my teeth today, despite some prying questions from the smog tech regarding the seemingly-aftermarket I/C hose 🤐

Hope to follow in his footsteps and continue to show it the love it deserves!

Welcome to the forum. Stock hose cracked and you had to replace it sounds like a good excuse.

Just gonna keep this thread going to honor DGI (and maybe some day pass on to the next owner!) I ran into my first hiccup after about 2,000 miles with the car- check engine light with code P0030, confirmed by the ScanGauge. Some quick research confirmed it was most likely the front O2 sensor. Tried clearing the code with the Scangauge, and it would come back almost immediately.

Removed the sensor to find it caked in quite a lot of carbon. Is this acceptable/expected for these motors, or could this be a sign of it running a little rich?

Swapped it out with this Bosch part from ECStuning- install took maybe 10 mins, tops. Cleared the code, and no CEL after ~40 miles of driving!

Cleaned up the engine bay a little, and decided to order a new NM engineering filter, just to keep things looking fresh. Also ordering some new stainless Torx fasteners for the NM heat shield, since the current fasteners were getting a little chewed up/stripped.

Hopefully many more trouble-free miles to come!

Just bringing this thread back from the dead to say that this well-documented, well-loved, and incredibly well-spec'd Clubman is now up for sale on Cars & Bids. Had an absolute blast owning and babying this car for 3 years, and hope it goes to an enthusiast who will love it just as much!

Not sure yet! I'm at a point in my life where I barely even need a car, so it'll either be something rugged enough for mountain adventures, or I'll just stick to renting/Turo when I actually need a vehicle.
