Less Exhaust Options for Clubman's now

So I received an email from Aaron at Outmotoring indicating Milltek has stopped production of the complete exhaust kit for the R55. Im currently waiting for one of the last batches to go out on the 22nd. This is the only exhaust option that would fit well for tuned Clubmans due to the uniform and upgrade diameter of the piping (2.5inch vs other aftermarkets are still 2.25inch). Milltek, Magnaflow, Hooker Blackheart and Scorpion are the only 2.5 inch diameter R55 exhaust systems.

Knowing this new info, if you purchase this exhaust system from any other site indicating in stock, such as Emnotek or Urotuning or WMW, i would advise asking them if they actually have any in stock or can get them from Milltek still. Sorry to create a thread but i felt it was the best way to share this info

Correct me if wrong but that leaves for R55 exhausts:
Magnaflow
Borla
Quicksilver
NM Engineering
Remus (muffler back not cat back)
Scorpion
Hooker Blackheart

Except the tradeoff for that burble is absolutely nauseating drone for Magnaflow. None of the others give any benefit since they still use stock diameter piping.

Magnaflow claims to be 2.5”

There is also the Scorpion exhaust, but no claims on diameter:

From what I’ve heard, you should be happy with the Milltek. Did you get the resonated or non-resonated version?

Non resonated (being paired with WMW catless dp) but i mean Scorpion seems to be the equivalent and is $200-300 cheaper. Heard a sound clip of it on a R60 with a catless DP and it sounded meaner than the milltek

Darn.
I was planning on the Milltek when
my original (2009) JCW exhaust
finally goes (still in fine shape as of
this moment). I actually like the
factory JCW exhaust and apparently
it has proven to be durable so I might
just go with that again when necessary.

Main downside is all the stock parts add up to
about $1800 (ECS Tuning) not including the
tips (couldn’t find their part #s on realism).

I haven't heard anything that Milltek was discontinuing the R55 exh as we even have them avail minus the front pipe which is the same for R56. I've used them and had it on my last clubman, but the last couple R55's I built I did with the Quicksilver and really like it with it's sound and carbon tips. It is still a full system as everything else is just rear muffler sections.

Yes it is. If you look at this link to our page and scroll down you will see actual pictures I took of one we installed. Note in that pic is the old style tips, the newer ones are all carbon.

I'd be hesitant due to them recycling the same 3 features under marketing mumbo jumbo, but hey the price is alright. I'll add it to the list.
