R55 Clubman Custom Spoiler on the Cheap
I'm not a fan of the current R55 spoiler offerings and have decided to try out a universal spoiler. I'm thinking about using the two screws that are near the rear 3rd brake light to mount 2 metal plates that then offer a place to mount the spoiler. I've actually tried installing 2 metal plates from those 2 screws near where the wiper fluid comes out and the doors clear it fine.
I ordered an adjustable sliding spoiler so the mounts can be adjusted to line up with the 2 metal plates. I think it will work, but I'll post pics when done. Hoping it at least looks decent, if not, I'll remove.

Then use something similar to this and see how it holds. If it sways under the weight, may need to move them to an X instead of sitting parallel. Think this might work or am I crazy for trying this?
