buying 09 JCW R55 clubman with 150k miles
While I was looking for R55 mini, I found one 09 R55 JCW with 150k miles and babied well.
the owner of the car is actually Mercedes Benz tech for 11 years and he fixed everything pretty much for his own car.
He wrote all items that were replaced less than 30 days ago and posted picture as well.
new complete set of valves
new tires
new water pump
new headgasket
new upgraded oil feed
new seals and gaskets
new vanos gear sprocket chain & guides
new spark plugs
new rear wheel bearing
clutch replaced Nov 17 at the dealership
new thermostat
new coolant pipe
new o2 sensors
new oil pan gasket & oil filter housing gaskets
He even offered me 3 months warranty as well. the car price is $4500 firm.
What you guys think?

you seem to know pretty much about R55-56 when I check your profile. Did you ever have any problem with N14 engine with those miles? As you can see the pics, the owner seemed to replaced everything that it's needed so far but my main concern is mileage and N14 engine.

With the service he did, it's like putting the engine back to 0 miles. I would ask him if he replaced the rings and cleaned the intake ports. I didn't pay attention to the transmission but I would ask if any services were done on it. The key thing with N14 is replacing the oil more frequently and do a carbon clean up every 40 or 50k. I'm sure others will chime in for more insight. Unfortunately, I don't keep my minis too long because I flip them. But when I have them, i enjoy driving them daily....they're the only car brand i have at my house anyway lol
my main ride, when fixed, is the 2016 paceman I picked up few months ago...it was flooded
