Can't figure this EVAP CEL issue, help requested
Hi all, I've been reading on these forums for a while, but this is my first post. I've got a 2010 Clubman S which needed complete timing chain repair and two new valves in the cylinder head, a pretty big job which is out of my league. When the car was finished, they let me know the car had the CEL on with an EVAP code, and likely needed a new leak detection pump. "No problem" I thought to myself, I'll just take care of that when I get the car back.
So, got a new pump, installed it, and...no change. Checked my codes, reading P2418 (EVAP System Switching Valve Control Circuit/Open), and 272A (DMTL diagnosis module tank leakage, magnetic valve, input signal).
OK, so right to the forums, learned that there could be an issue with the wires fraying that lead to the pump. So checked those out, and all look good.
I seem to have reached the end of my capabilities. I wonder if anyone can share some insight as to what else could be the problem here.
Also, one other item, maybe it is odd, maybe it isn't. I found instructions online to change out the pump, which involved removing the charcoal canister. One of the steps was to remove the electrical connection from the front of the charcoal canister box. On mine, there were no wires attached. Would be nice to know from this group if they were intentionally deleted in the 2010 Clubman S.
Thanks!!

Vapor canister purge solenoid?
Looking at the project instructions on Pelican Parts, the third step states to disconnect the "vent solenoid" connector. When I did my car, there was no vent solenoid or connector present/visible. Is this something that isn't present on the F55 Clubman S, or is my whole problem that I have a missing vapor canister purge solenoid?
