Front Foglamp H8 LED bulbs - does it need resistors?

Hi all,
I'm trying to find it anyone here has installed H8 LED bulbs in the front fogs, but all search results seem to show ppl wanting to put LED in the headlamp instead.
If I put LEDs in the fog lamps, will I get an error on the dahsboard that would require me to install a resistor load in place with LED to trick hot and cold monotoring of lights?

I need to replace my fog lights, and figured while replacing the fog lamps, why not upgrade the light output?
I'm not looking to use these as a main source of light, as the factory HID system works well for low (dipped) beam, tho I do want to code my car to allow highbeam and foglights to be on simultaneously... just have to get around to connecting NCSExpert (damn it, my version of NCS Expert doesn't connect to R55's).

Anyhow, I am debating running H8 LEDs OR even an aftermarket HID kit.
Was just looking for experience/advice from the collective.

Many thanks.
