Does anyone drive for a living

It seems many people have minis as weekend cars and full time commuter cars as well. Does anyone work out of their car like a appraiser. My fear is that the car won't be comfortable in regards to working, I.E. reading maps, print outs, lots of stopping and starting, etc.

Maps? What century you in boy? This be the 21st Century. We don't need no stinkin' maps. If you can't afford the built-in NAV, you get a after-market unit. Whichever, you deduct it from your income taxes.

I don't drive for work, but I would think that a fun-to-drive car that is easy to zip around it would be more pleasant than a cumbersome luxo-monster. If the manual transmission puts you off, get the auto.

I'm miserably stuck in an office all day long, staring out the window at my precious MINI; wishing that I could motor with her for hours, and hours, and hours.

I guess as with anything, there could be too much of a good thing. And I imagine if I was actually working in/from my MINI for 50+ hours a week it would become more like driving and less like motoring. I'm not interested in diluting the fun factor.

I don't work out of my car, but I just started as a mail carrier. I do drive all day long pretty much and I'm getting a mini so I don't forget how much fun driving really is. Especially when driving those dreadful LLV's (post office vehicles)...

I am in the office 2/3 of the time the other in the car. So hopefully it will work out fine. I usually have my laptop and blackberry so don't require too much workspace. I just sold our BMW 323ci and it was more than enough room. I usually put on about 300 miles a week (non-commute).

I would think it would be fine to work out of it...especially when you take the long route to your destination.

I'll need to verify this when it arrives at the end of the month.
