I got the red ones from the MINI dealer...MINI makes red, black and white sport stripes. The dealer put the black ones on, but they had a local graphic place come out and install the red ones on the roof. The yellow ones on my dad's roof were custom made. Hope that answers your question!

07chilired - yep sure does. I did see they offer the red ones after going to the site again. Mine is not coming with them so your input about their application is appreciated. I dont trust myself with an application where I have to do the whole roof.
PS - I'll look for you on the roads. I am not too far away. Happy Motoring!

Sport strips alittle TO geman?
Is it just me or do the black sport strips on the edge of the bonnet w/o the chin strip look like a early to mid 20th century dictator?
I am not hating. I still like them just where my brain went.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are my stripes just factory. But I am going to add boot strips to match.

The MINI Challenge is pretty sweet looking.
As for the origin of the stripes, actually it was Cunningham that started it back in the 50s with the famed white cars with blue stripes. It was then carried on by the likes of Shelby, then Ford and later Dodge and probably a bunch of other people along the way. I imagine they're called Viper stripes now solely because they were the most recent ones to re-start the trend and it is a car that's fresh in young people's minds. Also, probably just because it's easy to say.

If yours is like mine, (alot of chrome), then get chrome stripes!! My bolts are chrome (graphite chrome) color'd, they look great. The pics don't show them good, I have to get some better shots.
