The Wife unit has taken control of the mood lighting color. She sets it and changes it and sets it again and changes it some more. I figure she does that because I have not allowed her to drive Romi.
I cannot bring myself to being ok with someone else driving Romi. The Wife unit is a wonderful bag of soggy water, but she has not driven a standard transmission in 35 years and if she ground Romi's gears, I am afraid of what I might do or say.
I keep telling her, it's for her own good and the good of our marriage that she never drives Romi.
My wife has driven Mystic once. I wasn't with her and never will be when she does. I hide. But, she knows how to drive a stick (I was gonna edit that, but for those of you lioke double entendre, oh well) and she bought me the car. Soooooo........
I agree totally....and yet (especially with daylight savings) I still try to fnd excuses to motor when it's dark. It's just a subtle tweak...added to the rest of the subtle tweaks...which equals .
It is. But I wish there was more of it. (Reminds me of Woody Allen's line about life, using the chinese restaurant analogy: "The food is lousy and the portions are too small").
I keep them orange or blue depending on mood. when the gf is in the car we play dance music while we are going out and she changes it with the beat all dance club like. remember "They Might Be Giants" The turned the car into a nightclub. Might have to do that much more she just got a mercedes.
I had to check... Blue here, but by accident. They couldn't have put in a less useful feature. Now if they were brighter the wow factor would climb, but as is, they are a forgetable item in my opinion.
Felix, you can adjust the colors on the overhead switch panel. I think it's the second button from the right side of the car here in North America...I'm not sure if it's diff over there? The symbol underneath it looks like a sun that's half full of ale?
sadly there's no panel on the euro cars overhead - that's only on the MCS! god, we get screwed here in britain over the little things!
I wondered about that too. If it were brighter would it be too distracting?? Maybe. The biggest use of this feature is probably helping passengers find the door release...my '03 didn't have any lighting there and folks were constantly fishing about to find the handle.

You do know the brightness adjusts with the dash lights but even on the brightest setting your not going to light up the car if that's what your after.
