What options do you wish you'd gotten?
After driving my new Mini around, I'm very happy with it. Real fun car!
However, 20/20 hindsight tells me I woulda liked the anthracite headliner and piano black trim. Oh, and the alternate wheels, since I think the stock R56 wheels I got are ugly.
I'm still not 100% on my Lightning Blue color choice, either. I think the chili red and the green are offset real nicely by the black stripes & roof, too...

After one week, I'm pretty happy with my spec. I still might have added the comfort access but I'm alright with it.
Well, I guess a full-on JCW setup would have been nice, but that's greedy.
Maltese, I dig the LB/black. I almost ended up with that but went with the BRG after seeing it in the dealership. Hard to go wrong either way in my book.

No, I would change absolutely nothing at all...not one thing. Ask me in five years I'll likely say the same thing (if my '03 is any indicator). My only mods were done within the first 1/2 hour......a shorty antenna and a chrome John Cooper signature badge for the boot. I will say that since this was my second MINI I did not hold back....but even then I got only a few select options. I think it's perfect.

Small things: rear fog ights, anthracite headliner, white turnsignals... These wouldn't have amounted to much expense in the long run. But I had to draw the line somewhere, and am fine with it as it is.
Big things: I wish I had not gone with the sunroof; it just lets in too much light, even though a limousine tint seems to have taken care of it. Two sunroof adjustments later, it still makes a tiny bit of noise from 70mph on, although playing some tunes masks/makes me forget it. For similar $ it might have been wiser to have passed on the Premium package and to have chosen an automatic trans, instead. Living in L.A., that stop-go traffic just isn't fun w/ the 6 speed. Now, when I get away from traffic, I'm a happy pup.

I bought mine off the lot, so I compromised a bit. If I'd ordered I'd have added: Sport suspension, DSC (maybe, hope I don't need it, but putting on the brake on hills so you can't roll back is nice), heated seats I wanted here in central AZ. I'd have gotten the English Oak MFSW to match my interior too. I'm trying to get that traded out, but so far my MA says I cannot. I didn't want to spring almost $2300 for the Nav or a similar amount for 18" black JCW wheels/tires but I was tempted on the wheels. I'll probably spring for wheels when my runflats go bald and get regular tires with 18" black wheels. I do love the flame spoke 17" wheels though.
