I think smoke will be rolling out of my ears if one of you gets your Mini before me. I'm not mad but come on, I live in Italy!! It's not like mine had to go across the pond to get here.

 

OK start the smoke, MA called and said mini is at dealership and ready to be picked up when do i want to go get it.

The problem is that work is going to be too busy to be able to go get it till friday,,,AAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGG!!!!

Friday at 5pm Central time i will be motoring.

I know the wait is sucking, but there is nothing worse than knowing its there and not being able to pick it up.

This absolutely sucks!

According to daveag98's post, his car was completed 4 days AFTER mine, yet arrived at the Charleston port (same as mine) 2 days earlier (11th vs. 13th) and his car arrived at the 2nd of only two Dallas area dealerships this past Wednesday! I'm not even on a freak'n truck yet? :impatient :impatient Unfreak'n believable! Who says Friday the 13th isn't bad luck?

 

You're right, that doesn't make any sense. My car was on the same boat, going to the same port, and it's not only left the VDC but it's at the dealership (in Orlando) and I'm picking it up tomorrow.

I wonder what your car has been doing since the boat docked nearly a week ago?

 

Mini was ready on Wednesday but i picked up today, no worries brother, its worth the wait.

Wow, we even got almost the exact same interior! Crazy! Only difference is I didn't get the NAV, and did get the anthracite headliner.

Nope. My partner is still waiting for baby Jack here in Phoenix. OL says est. delivery of 7/28. Dealership says it should arrive 7/26 or so. How about you ucbrother? Any ETA?

Was wondering because there's a truckload of MINIs heading from the VPC to Phoenix on 7/26.

Have to admit it's strange that your fellow Texan got his MINI and you didn't. What did your MA say recently?

 

What REALLY blows (for me) is that according to daveag98's timeline, his Mini completed production 4 days AFTER mine, got on a boat 4 days AFTER mine, and somehow got to port 2 days AHEAD of mine, left the VDC before I got to port, and is in his hands as of last Friday! (could have been earlier but he couldn't get off from work). Correct me if I got any of this wrong daveag98.

When we started this whole process, we were trying to help him along because he couldn't get any information on where his car was at first.

Now all my co-workers are teasing me saying my car got damaged in shipping and it's at the "body shop"! I'm starting to wonder. I mean come on, it made port on the 13th and it's not even on a truck yet?! :impatient

 

That is definitely rough! Have you called your MA? He/she should be able to tell you whats up.

Our 2nd MINI was at port on 7/16 and showed in the VDC on 7/23. There was a truck that already arrived in Phoenix but not with #2. The next truck 7/26 will be here 7/28.

If I were you, I'd be pestering your MA. You've waited long enough!

 

I was given info in a FAX (see earlier post) that gave an ETA of 7/29 on a truck that is scheduled to leave also on the 26th. Makes even less sense that yours arrives in Phonex before mine gets to Dallas. I don't know what's going on. I have a female MA who I've already "hurt her feelings" by inquiring with her sales manager when I couldn't get ahold of her. She had the nerve to tell me not to call him and that "I just needed to be patient." Well I quickly set her straight on that and she promptly apologized. I pointed out that I bought not one, but two cars from her, and that I am a grown man, not a child, and did not appreciate being told what I "need" to do. I will call whoever and whenever I want in order to get the information I need! I'm getting spun up all over again just recalling that exchange. Anyway, she's providing me daily updates now, but unfortunately nothing's changed. It's really frustrating. I have a buyer for my would be trade-in waiting in limbo, and I'm pushing the limit on my 60 day pre-approved loan. :impatient

 

Just emailed my MA. Let's see what she says...

 

you are correct on that time line. Completed production the 25th of june, shipped either the 1st or 4th of july. Arrived at port on the 11th of july at 8am. Delivery to the dealer on the 18th of july, to me on the 20th.
