True, after I get the VIN number I only have a 21 day shipping wait. However, I can't track my order thru ASKMINI...

 

I thought ASK-MINI was a MINIUSA thing. Are you ordering a US spec car?

 

Yes I am ordering a US spec'ed MCS. I'm only stationed in Italy and as I like it here... I don't plan on staying here.
My order is throught he BMW military sales program, so I can't track it through ASK MINI.

 

Looks like I'm the only week 25 so far.
Oh well... guess I'll have to make do being Ornery somewhere else.

Hello- another week 25'er here. At least that is what my dealer said- I am waiting for confirmation from mini. This will be my first Mini- very excited!

I am getting a Mini S Convertible...very excited!

 

According to "ASK MINI", I'm a week 25'er. My dealer said he could slip it in there, but I don't know how much control he would have over that. So far, it looks like it's real, but I will keep calling to make sure until I see it on the website. This will be my first MINI! Well, sorta. I just bought my wife one 2 weeks ago. She has a Chili Red MC, and I ordered a Black MCS. Can't wait!

Got my VIN today!

 

Hey cdburrus - look like our MINIs are twins (Astro Black/17" CS Wheels). My production started late last week, so I guess I'm kind of in between 24 & 25. I just hope oxford has a nice smooth & steady week. Get me on a boat already!

Also, how many days after production started did it take for you to get a VIN #?

 

Pav, My order was placed on the 11th or 12th. I signed on the 11th, but they didn't get a check from me until the next morning, so I suspect the order didn't go in until they got their money. Shortly afterward, my MA emailed me with a production number. Again, that was on the 12th. I called 1-866-ASK MINI the next three days in succession, trying to find out if I was getting in week 25 or 26. They told me on the 13th I was in 25, but I kept calling just in case something changed. By the time the 15th rolled around, they said production had started. That was last Friday. I checked the website every day to see when it would reflect that change, and on Sunday I had a VIN.

 

Hey CDB,

I had ordered mine on the 4th and was told I would be in week 24 production. As I said, I think I got to the shipping year quickly and has a spot on the boat leaving today.

One of the shipping companies is called W&W. Once you have your VIN, which you already have, I would check once in a while to see if your gourgeous AB/AB has been booked on a ship.

Click on "Auto Cargo" (on the right) and use your VIN as "cargo ID"

For the best information, look at one of the threads in the 1st Gear forum called "how to track your MINI". All the ship departurs are also listed in the Week 24 production forum.

I just found out yesterday that I finally got a production number, and today ASK-MINI says my build should be complete 6/25! So I guess that puts me in week 25 (or maybe a little late, isn't 6/25 the first day of week 26?).

It feels like I've been waiting forever already. I ordered in April, but since I wanted the audio package it's taken months to go into production. I get the feeling the waiting is only going to get more difficult now.

 

April? Wow! I guess I ordered at the right time. I would have freaked out by now! ASK MINI said I should be done by the end of this week. We'll see. Keep me posted and I will do as well. Good luck!

Hi everyone - congrats on your MINIs. I'm a week 25er as well, with an anticipated factory completion date of tomorrow. Laser Blue MCS with white roof/mirrors. Has anyone gotten a spot on a boat yet?

Hello, everyone. Called Mini and found out my MCS is in production and will finished 06/25. So I guess this is the group to join.

I cancelled last year order and wait for the R56.

The spec is MCSa,
Chil Red with white roof,
Sport with web wheels, Preimum and conv package
Nav sys
Carbon black leather
Exterior and Interior chrome
piano black with cream white color line,
anth headliner
white strips
driving lamps
white turn signal lights

 

Thank goodness. I'm a week 25 MINI after all.

What are the odds that those of us on the East Coast make it on the Patriot?

 

"ASK MINI" says my MCS is in the body shop with an estimated completion date of 6/22. I wonder how long it will take to get on a boat?
