What's in your boot?

Fun thread, nothing more. I mean permanent fixtures (not groceries). I have:
Jumper cables(why?)
wheel cleaner
chamios cloth
Ziplock bag (headphones, ibuprofen, batteries, old digicam, and suntan lotion)
Softball cleats, softball glove, and sunflower seeds (I play 2 leagues)
What do y'all carry?

Oooo... an extinguisher. That's a good idea. Gotta work on that.

For me, I have a MINI cap (I get a little more sun with the glass roof), and a North Face polar fleece (you have to be preparred for three seasons in one day living in Washington). Both stay in the car all the time.

I also have a COMPLETE MINI tool kit, my driving light covers, A small thing of Windex glass wipes, the MINI boot mat, A tube of wet wipes and the storage netting. Had touch-up paint but the DS doesn't match the DS on MY car!?! Oh, and a red MINI Matchbox car I have for a friend that I'll give him the next time I see him.

I don't have jumper cables in there yet, but I do always have Stoner's glass cleaner, some quick detailer, and a spray-bottle of water along with two of the best polishing cloths I could find...one for glass and one for paintwork. I also generally have a plastic bag with a set of microfiber drying towels and a roll of Viva paper towels for the black trim or similar. Then, of course there's the large and small Cali Dusters, my MINI manual, and MINI sunshade. That's about it.

I have a baritone uke with custom hardshell case that fits in the boot and had visions of packing this MINI-sized instrument for a trip to the park (or similar). That lovely fantasy has yet to transpire over the last two+ years.

other than the usual mini kit (tyre gunk, jack, compressor etc) i only carry spare bulbs and my record bag. I'm a dj, and lugging it up and down from my apartment is pointless-and very heavy!

Yes, the weight probably does slow me down, and if the car gets nicked then i'm screwed. guess that's the price of being lazy!

Baby wipes-for the kids when they eat messy stuff.
Microfiber towel.
Bid book when I take the Mini to bid jobs instead of my truck.

I like the color coded extinguisher. Did you paint it?

Yep, I LOVE the extinguisher!! Nice job.

Why do all you folks drive around with cleaning stuff in the boots?? Why not leave them at home in the garage/apt/"flat" (since this is the mini!)?

Absolutely nothing right now. I took everything out including the tool kit so I could take measurements and fit my sub box.

My sunroof sun covers and (if this counts), the saddlebag mounted to the parcel shelf, which contains my owners manual, tire pressure gauge, sticky pad and work gloves.

I have nothing since I have not had my MCSa delivered. Getting very &%^ grumpy waiting. But, soon I will try to fill it with sensible items. I like the fire bottle, works for me with a small tool kit, then my AAA+ card, perhaps.

Hey Trinity, with that big sub and speakers are you going to have tote everything around on a roof rack when you take a trip?

one smaller-than-a-shoebox plastic box with chenille dusting mitt, touch-up interior wipes, glass cleaner, a crank flashlight. And, resting on top, a scarf, hat and fleece blanket. All of that fits snugly in the little niche on the side of the boot, and is held in place with one of the triangle webby things.

I did carry a 1 quart bucket of fun (w/ playing cards, crayons, "brain teaser," play-doh, etc) for a while, but it got lost on a camping trip because it was soo small too. I hope some child in the woods is enjoying it.

Well thankfully I wont be carrying around a big sub in the back. Just a small 8" sub that will fit nicely into the recess in the bottom of the boot where the tool kit goes. The amp will go next to it and Ill be creating a false floor just above it. I wont be losing too much room and will still be able to haul my groceries home
