Get $0 Worth of Equipment for Only $100
Had to share a funny about the configurator:
Playing in the configurator building an MC, I played with adding an
Aero Kit (Factory Installed) $1300 (on page 3)
Up pops a suggestion that I can "Get $0 Worth of Equipment for Only $100" by upgrading to the Hypersport package
"For $100 More, You Can Upgrade to the Hyper Sport Package And Receive These Additional Items:"
(blank)
"Items You've Selected That Are Included Within This Package:"
"Aero Kit (Factory Installed) $1300"
"Your Current Cost: $1300"
"Cost Of Package: $1400"
I thought it was funny. On the MCS, when you add the hypersport package you also get an upgraded suspension for the 1400. You apparently don't with the MC. I guess this is saying the two aero kits are the same too-didn't know that (but JCW has its own aero kit too).
So because you don't get the upgraded suspension on an MC, it's letting you pay more for nothing additional.
Now I don't know whether that's how things are in real life. Maybe you can't get HyperSport on MC. Or maybe you really get the suspension.
(I'm going to send feedback to mini on the page and see what happens-maybe they'll update it. I did the same thing when they hosed TX city names on the dealer map and they fixed those)

That was quick! (wonder if it's right???)
Hi Dan,
Thanks for writing MINI. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the MINI brand!
The Hyper Sport Package includes the Aero Kit as well as Sport Suspension. Therefore, by spending an additional $100 for the Hyper Sport Package, you are saving approximately $400 while getting both features.
I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. I have forwarded this to our Internet team for correction.
If there are further questions I can assist with, please feel free to drop me an e-mail. I would be happy to lend a hand.
