Need a window tint rec for L.A.

Gotta get these sunroof's tinted before they fade out the seats. Anyone know a reasonable and qualified place in L.A. that can do it? I tried a couple places and one guy that does it for our dealer won't do sunroof's anymore.

TIA!

Talk to Hamid @ Sunshield Glass Tinting in Van Nuys (right off the 101). I've taken all my cars to him and they do great work. That's the first place my Mini will be going when it arrives in August. :0)

You beat me to it with this reccomendation. This is a GREAT place to get any type of tinting done. I took my beater in first more or lessa s a test and he did a very good job on it. Then I took in the other cars and he did just as well.

Just got back. They did a good job and finished when they said plus they were incredibly reasonably priced.

Thanks all!

Could you elaborate? What exactly did you have done and how much did it cost?

I had mine done for $210.
22 for rear, 32 for front, and 6 for sunroofs. I'm very happy with this combo. At first I got quoted for $190 w/o the roofs. I dealt with the guy to do it and I'd pay him the extra $20. He was more than happy to do it. This is HP (high power?) SolarGard films. This guy came to my office to do it. It took him about 3 hours.

I just had the sunroofs done. They charged me $75 total for 5% Limo 3M lifetime warranty.

The only bad thing was shoe and heel marks everywhere.

I got mine tinted at the dealer yesterday ($140), but they told me that they don't recommend to tint the sunroof b/c the heat may crack the sunroof. Is that true?

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I noticed you are in S.Fla., where did you go for the window tint and are you satisfied?? Any pics? I'm in Miami and had mine tinted but the guy did a crappy job and I'm gonna have him remove it and I'll go somewhere else to get it done.

Thanks

lidi. I asked my MA about this and she said she never saw that happening and has her's tinted. One place did turn me down for that reason.

Hey there,

I did my tinting at the MINI dealer (South Motors). I was originally going to do it at Senor Stereo (156 st and US1 Miami, FL) 305-233-6400 and their website is http://www.senorstereo.com/contact-us.htm
I believe they were charging me $109 but I honestly can't remember.

Since I was doing my bonnet stripes at the MINI dealer I went ahead and did the tinting with them since I wanted to get over it. On my previous vehicle I did it at Senor Stereo and I was very happy.

I am very happy with the job that the dealer did.
