Miles Per Gallon

So what are you guys averaging on MPGs with your 07 Mini? Do you drive mostly city or highways?

There are other threads on this of course. I have 3000 miles on mine, mostly in town. Based on calculations (not the OBC, which is off by 1-2mpg) I get 31mpg town, 37mpg highway.

This has been much discussed here,
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...hlight=mileage

I found mine went up a lot through the breakin period. I'm MC(base) automatic, mixed driving plus traffic, and somewhere in the low 30s. There is a small bump in the official mpg from the older models to the 07 (I gather from your siggy you're making that decision?)

Thanks for the link. I will look into that thread. To answer your question, I am debating between the 1st and 2nd gen to see which one I will benefit more from in the long-run.

Good luck with the decision! There's lots of threads on the comparison too(some more polemic than others). They're both great cars, very similar but different. Try to drive both, and depending on how long you plan to keep it, upkeep could be the main difference (older car vs. new model).

That's impressive, I've gotten 37 average on my daily morning commute and do about 33.5 in the mixed driving. I've got just over 2700 miles on her so far.
