Good original name!!

 

I am sooooo close to seeing "the beast" (the adopted name from this thread :P) that it is starting to hurt... It is within 500kms of Brisvegas, one customs checkpoint, and between one MINI dealer and myself (the finance is all set up :D) I feel so sorry for my girlfriend... she has had to put up with an 8 yo kid who is 2 days out from christmas for the past few weeks... I hope you all stick with this thread to see my photos when i post them!!

 

I'm still here for you Sambo99. You're in the home stretch and will hopefully be out motoring soon. I'll be waiting to hear your glee and see pictures of "the beast"

Putting up with the 8 yo will probably have to continue... I know my colleagues are sick of hearing about Sam. They keep wondering when the "honeymoon" will be over.

 

Of course we will, if you don't post pics I'll have to track you down next year when my wife and I take our long awaited trip to Australia!!

At least it better happen next year, it has been postponed the past few years due to scheduling difficulties with vacation times. I can easily take two weeks off in a row while my wife has a more difficult time getting it approved.

 

Thanks Unixgal and SimpsonGI! Today is the day that it arrived in Brisbane, so I will be calling the dealer tomorrow to see how things are going :P

I just got confirmation off the Shipping site... The beast is now officially on Aussie Soil!!!!! I think that I need to set up an avatar to give you guys some insight as to what the beast is made up of ;-) (before the photos get put up that is...)

 

signature test.... and here are the specifics regarding the beast (btw - do you have the Chilli Pack option in the States?)

 

I think we need to see a 'roo with your new beast when it arrives just to validate your location.

MINI Delivery Date is locked in to Tuesday the 28th of August at 3pm!!! :D

I have just gotten back from picking up the Laser Blue beast (well I got back about 45 mins ago, but I have been playing with the settings in the car :P)

I have added a couple of pics - I will be adding more when I edit the number plate out of the other ones :D

I am still loving mine :D Im about to add some more photos too (in my gallery), I managed to get the MINI cleaned and in front of the camera (background is the Story Bridge in Brisbane)

 

Mine's getting mighty close to 8000mi and I'm still loving it! Mods so far: JCW black grill surrounds, AC sidemarker vinyl, hardwired V1, some hotwheels 16" rims w/ snow tires. Only problems so far have been interior rattles and a throw-out bearing rattle that I'll try to take care of in the spring or something.

 

So just out of curiosity, what is the latest readings on the ODO from some of the weeks 26ers? Unfortunately we didnt get to take the MINI out as much as we had hoped, and it ended with 2800 before it was stored for the winter. Once the weather gets better, I am hoping to put alot more miles onto it

 

I'm at 13k.

 

11k for me, but should be over 13k within a few weeks - after AMVIV V.

 

Just under 11k here. Actually wasn't able to put miles on it the last 2.5 weeks due to it being at the dealer for service. Just got a new trans, flywheel, clutch kit due to a chattering when the clutch is out and in neutral. Next item to replace is the vibration dampner (2 weeks away in Germany) according the the BMWNA rep.

 

Hello all - Im bringing this thread back to life in letting you know it is exactly one year ago that I drove my MINI out of the dealership!

What a great year and the grin is still on my face as much as it was one year ago :D
