Not sure if there is another floating around but here goes. Anyone else on the Week 26 Production line ?

My car was ordered June 15th, and my MA has me with the keys between July 20th-26th.

Ordered 6/15/07- scheduled for Week 26 Production

 

I'm in week 26 as well. Ordered my LiB/B MCS on the 14th.

 

So if I ordered mine on 6/17/07, I'm week 26 as well?... What does that # on the invoice your MA emails you that says ASSIGNED TO: W - 33 - 22007???

 

I don't know if I am week 25 or 26. Production started this week, estimated to be completed by Tuesday next week. Anyway, I am here with you. Too long to wait. Why didn't I just get that nice little Chili Red S on the lot? How does a sweet little car make an otherwise rational person so obsessive?

 

Man I knew I should have ordered mine on the 15th instead of waiting til the 16th! I got pushed back a whole week to week 27 as a result.

Signed the deal 6/19. The MA must have moved me right into a slot they had, because I have my VIN and ASK MINI says my vehicle completion date is 6/27. I think that makes me a week 26. This is way faster than I expected! I was using the average 8 weeks from order to delivery to time the arrival to mid-August. When the MA said “if it gets here a couple of weeks before that, is it a problem?” How could I say yes? So LynnCVT, our Mini's may be sailing together.


AB/W Sport package & suspension, web spokes, audio package, LSD, driving lights, rear fogs & white turn signals, JCW mirror caps, LL redwood red, plus a few other goodies.

 

I can't believe how excited/anxious I am to get my MINI. I found out from my MA that it's in production when I called yesterday so I'm not sure if that means week 25 or 26 Either way I'm not complaining. I've been told that I should take delivery the first week in August since it'll be 22 days going through the Panama Canal to LA and then trucked up to the SF Bay Area.

Anyway, I'm so looking forward to really being part of the MINI clan

I think this is my home...I just called 866askmini and the automated system said my mini would fully be born on June 30th....so....whats up guys???

So if it takes 1-3 days on the train to the port (as stated here: http://www.jwardell.com/mini/2006/10...-ordered-mini/)

My mini should be @ port/on a boat July 1st - 3rd

9 days to cross the water (see dates in photo http://www.jwardell.com/mini/media/06/tracking1.gif)

So on dry land around July 10th - 13th

1-3 days to process and get on a truck...so on the open roads by July 11th - 16th

Then that truck driver better drink a lot of coffee and get to Chicago ASAP!!!

AskMini just told me my car started production today! I was orginally scheduled for week 27, but now I am a week ahead of schedule.

 

Did you talk with a person or was that from the Owners' Lounge? I haven't found ASK MINI to be as specific on information as others claim they have been. The lounge still says "scheduled for production" but some where along the line I was given a scheduled completion date of 6/27. But there is no booking on WW yet for the VIN. I'm excited about the progress. Just wish informaiton was more readily available other than bugging my MA. I plan to just hit him up for weekly updates. It's nice to have that VIN!

 

I talked to a person. He said, "Let me check for you... oh wow as of 8am this morning, your mini just went into production. You were scheduled for week 27, but you are one week ahead of schedule. Check back in a few days, we should have another update for you."

Lounge and AskMini computerized response still say my mini is On Order.

 

Welcome to week 26, need! I also talked with a more helpful person this morning from ask mini and found out that my AB/W Mini is in the paint shop. Now if we could just get a high energy cheerleader for this group like ratt in week 27!

Just called ask mini and it says TUX is in the paint shop and scheduled for completion TODAY!!!! WOOT.

From what I've read us West Coast folks arent usualy on WW, so tracking that will likely suck

Sounds like you're dreaming! I'm guessing early or middle of next week at best, given the transport time to the dock. Which coast will your Mini go to LynnCVT? Mine should go to Charleston.

 

Hi RhinoBob. East coast. Delivery to sunny South Florida. I believe my MA said it would come into South Carolina. It's only been a week since I ordered but it feels like 6 already. I am never going to make it to the end of July. Are you in the paint shop yet? We could end up on the same boat.

 

Yes, in the paint shop. Was actually given tomorrow as the completion date.

 

So is anyone else in Week 26 going to be on the slow boat to LA?

 

Looks like you, me, and Mondo07gk so far. Mine just started production, so maybe it will go on a later boat.

If your production started last week, you should be in week 25. Your Mini should have been completed today. If we are lucky they will make out to sea by this weekend. I've heard it is a 3 day train ride to the docks from Oxford. Lets keep our fingers crossed!
