Hi, guys! I wondered if there was a MY club. Glad to see there is!

I don't know about you, but I love that there aren't as many MY MINI's out there - it's nice having a unique color!

I see about 10-20 Mini's in this area. Only 1 other one is Mellow Yellow. I really like the way the color hides dirt and pollen.

I'm very fortunate to live in this area. I've been down highway 1 so many times on my motorcycle I almost forget how pretty it is. It's such a fun road it's hard to want to stop to take pictures.

My Mellow Yellow MINI in Calgary

I love the colour, especially because I've seen only less than a handful of them in the city.
Was scared the sunroof will look weird with the white roof, but it turned out really good.

Congratulations. Your car looks great. But you have to clear the snow off the roof so your black top can show through.

My car is coming up on its first birthday and I've yet to see another Mellow Yellow.

Not that I'm complaining. It makes mine seem unique.

Liquid yellow vs Mellow Yellow

Was at the bank the other day and saw a LY MINI in the parking lot. Decided to park next to it just to compare the two different Yellow

Thanks for the compare & contrast. Ours is more of an orangey-yellow...and I like it!

I vote for the Mellow Yellow. I may be biased, but it still looks better.

I love the yellow and black roof contrast, it looks great. I also love how great stripes look on yellow.

I agree. I'm not a big fan of stripes, but I really like how it looks with the yellow.

Am I Nuts for picking Mellow Yellow?

Ok, I placed my order for a MY/B MCSa a week ago. After hours ( days ) of going back and forth between all of the other choices, I picked yellow because there are very few on the road around me. I wanted my car to be unique....I know they all are!

My MA did a search on their website and found that the more common colors ( red, white, etc) are about 4 times more common than yellow And I liked the MY car on the floor so I made the call.

My question is: Is the reason that nobody selects yellow because the color is too " out there"? or is it because they don't have the ***** to drive a yellow car?

For all of you who have a MY car. I know you like the color but if you had it to do all over again, would you pick another color or are you still pleased with your choice?

I'm Stressed out over this!

I have always liked yellow cars but never had the nerve to buy one. When I saw the Mini in Yellow I had to have it no matter what anyone else thinks or thought.

So far I have only had really good comments about my color choice.

To answer your question, yes, if I had to do it all over again, I would buy another Mellow Yellow, but only if they don't have purple, which is my all time favorite color.

Don't stress, you did great picking Mellow Yellow!!!

Joanne

I really like how the yellow doesn't show pollen very much (we get a lot this time of year). And the car really has to be filthy before it shows dirt. My other choices at the time was white and the lite-blue one (I forget it's name). If I did it again, I'd still get mellow yellow! I wouldn't get a black roof, never have been a fan of black cars since I'm too OCD about keeping my car clean.

Definitely Mellow Yellow

My favourite colour is yellow so there was doubt about yellow being my top pick. I bought two guy friends with me to the dealer the day I placed my order. At first, they were like...."err..you sure you don't want to consider another colour?" after when I got the car, everyone loves it!
I think the car has to suit the person too, I use to drive a silver Audi A4 and everyone questioned why I gave that up. I definitely didn't regret it, been so much happier driving my MY MINI.

Yellow is a happy color, which is perfect for a happy car and the driver within!
The mellow yellow is just a gorgeous yellow color! It doesn't come across as so in-your-face-yellow like a Tiburon or Protege.

Heck, ya! I'd do MY all over again! Our cars are definitely different, and I figured if I was going to get a car that was unusual, I wanted to go all the way and make it really stand out. So MY was my color of choice. If it was a different year, I would do the orange or the purple (I had a purple Civic Hatchback for a few years and loved it!). Why get the color that's common?

Relax and know that when your car comes in, everyone will know it's YOU driving it around.

-Holly
