What you're probably seeing is an 05 or 06 in Liquid Yellow.
And... the "old" body style is because the '07 convertibles didn't see a change. The convertibles aren't having a body style change until 09.
Ps. Not to interrupt your MY thread, but I've been shopping for a LY MCS Convertible so I've learned a little bit (I think) about Cabrios.

Those experienced in Cabrios can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe they come in Mellow Yellow.

It will be interesting to see which 07 colors get jerked away like solar red and space blue. I tried to get SR on my 06 Cooper, and it was unavailable by late April. Didn't even last a year.

I can't think of anything that has been harder to keep up with than MINI colors. I'm still waiting for Silk Green to come back. When I bought my 02 EB/W MCS, the dealer (P&W in Pittsburgh) had a SG/B JustaCooper that was just killer lookin'. That was such a good MINI color. Maybe the germans will get away from 14 shades of gray one of these days.

Mellow Yellow Croc Cessories
Comments so far have been:
Anyhow, we like 'em!
Answer to which came first: Crocs on Sunday (7/8/07), MY MCSa Tuesday (7/10/07).
Both of us have yellow crocs, but the dog does not (yet)!

- Real men don't drive yellow cars.
- Which came first? Crocs or Cooper?

Not the police (yet, [knocks on skull]), but it turns heads and with full lights lit, people git outta my way. Ok, sometimes it takes a flash of highbeams, but with the high contrast (yellow/black) and aero aggressive look, folks seem to GET that the hammer lane is for those who are going faster than the cars in the other 4 lanes. Of course, I make it a point to extract myself from said hammer lane as soon as I've passed slower car, but folks don't seem to learn from my example. They move outta my way, then move back into their blocking position. I've got a love/hate with the I-15.
