Hi-
I went with the black leather, piano black, MY color line and anthracite headliner. I haven't seen it yet (still on the boat), but should be motoring in a week or so and will post some pictures.

Yeah, that Mustang is "Zinc Yellow". As a "Mustang Guy" myself, I can tell you there are a LOT of us that don't like that color at all. It's way too pale. Mellow Yellow is MUCH better.

BOTH of you guys got M Coupes!

Man, we are truly blessed with good company. I can't imagine ever wanting to sell the M Coupe or the Mini... what a dilemma that would be.

Compare Before and after..

Awhile back in this thread, I polled folks for your opinions on what side stripe I should get for the wife's new MINI. I thought I'd post the results.....

Recall the options I was considering (photoshopped):
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...&postcount=456

Poll results agree this was the best. BEFORE:

Here is how it looks now that it is done.

There are more pictures in my gallery. Better shots of the JCW grill and side scuttles, the interior, etc.

We discussed the gunmetal wheels for quite awhile. We ultimately decided the silver was a more timeless look and wouldn't get dated as fast as the gunmetal look "might". The fact that I couldn't find the right hubcenter diameter helped with the decision, I don't like dealing with centering rings.

I also got custom MINI logo decals for the wheel center caps from an ebay guy in the UK. They are very nice, resin coated and about $8.00 for the set shipped, I'm happy!

I got the custom side decals made by a guy on ebay. Fast turn around and reasonable price. I really like how it came out. I can send info to anyone interested. The decals are a bit tricky to put on when you want a tiny amount to wrap under the bottom of the door. It would have been much easier to have them 1/2" higher so body color was visible below the side stripe but that wasn't the look we were going after...

Hope you like the pictures, it was kind of dark when I took them.

Hmmm. Is the Mellow Yellow interior color line discontinued? I was playing around with building another MY and I also noticed that the color line option was missing from the 2009 cars.

I'm baffled by this because most of the MY cars I've seen have the MY interior as well. I hardly ever see a cream, blue or a red...but yellow interiors? They're everywhere.

>>> 'true' Color-Line >>>

I had never considered any interior 'color-line',
now with my 'comfort' seating and armrests
she says it looks like a BumbleBee.

The above was the best choice of the three shades of yellow offered,
but it is "Solar" and not "Mellow" yet suits me fine.

I wonder if there had been complaint about 'old' Yellow Color-Line not exactly matching
the Mellow Yellow exterior and perhaps there will be a 'New' Yellow Color-Line that does.

Long time reader, first time poster! Donovan arrived on 8/9/08 and is still in the break-in period. Can't wait to get those 1200 behind him so I can run him through his paces.
What a thrill it is to drive this car! The Harley is actually spending more time in the garage now and is getting jealous.

Any MYOC members in the West Palm Beach area? Glad to be part of the club.

Motor on!

Keep those photos coming, guys! I added a carbon fiber bonnet scoop and boot handle this weekend but my camera battery's dead and I can't find the recharger - so had to make do with camera phone pics:

And here's a video (set to music) I made from photos I shot at PhillyMINI's Rally on August 3 in Philadelphia. Like Ken said, MY's pretty rare: over 60 MINIs showed up, and mine was the only yellow one! (Not even any Liquid Yellows in attendance.) Mellow Yellow stands out like a sore thumb, but in a good way

Cool pics, D Unit! I've got to work on some good background shots for Donovan and will try to post them.

I've heard that all MY's are not a common sight. It just struck me when I saw the combo and decided to trade in my all yellow Xterra for the Mini. Okay, so it's not quite as spacious as the X, but sure is a lot more fun to drive.

Just got a roof rack for the bike to go on top so I can still haul it around.

Lovin' it!

Hey Jasonite, AWESOME slide show! You did a great job putting that together. I was just up in Philly a month ago and was running through that parking lot on my way up the steps of the museum. Thanks for sharing.
