Sounds great, we eagerly await PIX! You are going to love that Britney more each day.
Glad you could easily get that MFS Wheel installed.
I was so lucky that the Center Armrest was left off of mine,
made it a lot easier to install MINI's European version Center Armrest:
Dealers used to have them, but mine came from Outmotoring.com
Minspeed.com also has them (for less cost)
and install is an easy :15 minute job, just need a Torx T-40 tool.
Much larger and more comfortable and no sliding top,
it was easy for me to add my own upholstery and memory foam padding as well.
<...> First thing I noticed when I sat in her was that the armrest and multifunction wheel were not present. <...>

Good luck with the decision. I'm excited to see mine. I really like the stark contrast between the dark interior (anthracite, piano black, leatherette) with the yellow color line and chrome.

Where did you get your paint and how long did it take? That's one of the first things I want to do to mine when it comes in. How well does the yellow match? Details! Details!

Painting calipers
Got it from FastMini.net for $30. They have many colors which may tickle your fancy. The yellow is a really good match. Not perfect but that would look odd anyway IMO. I took off two wheels on the same side and taped a bit but not much since you paint by brush (buy a brush or two because the one with the kit isnt that great). Painted front then rear and then second coat on each in same sequence. I put the wheels back on and did the same on the other side. I barely got the last one painted and I am thankful for gravity which smoothed it out because I was losing the paint. The directions say you have 2-6 hours before the paint is unusable...nah 2.5 hours is all I got at about 70-75 degrees ambient temp. Don't screw around though or you will have a half finished job and have to order another one. One kit is more than sufficient in volume but time is what will get ya. It looks fantastic and is a good hard enamel finish.

Here is My 2008 MCS
You guys might not familiar with my license plate, some of you might be able to guess where I came from. However, I like to join the mellow yellow club here. Let's see what I have done so far.
JCW Bonnet CF Scoop
JCW aerokit (still in the paintshop but I just fitted the grill trim first)
Tailgate handle CF (this is the custom made which cost me around $50, look alike the factory one but a lot cheaper)
Kahn 18" Wheel
Eibach Spring (not fitted yet)
I'm looking forward to get JCW brake and Rear spoiler soon .

Beautiful! Yours confirms what I suspected...MY looks great without the bonnet stripes too. I almost didn't order them, but that was my wife's contribution.
So are you a week 40er too? Three weeks should have put your on or around the same production date as mine...

Did a little motoring this past weekend. 600 mile road trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway to wrap up break-in.
Oh, I found out a little tidbit from my MA (I think somebody earlier was asking about this). He said that MY was by far the least ordered color out of that particular dealership (Crown MINI of Richmond). He also said that even more so, MY/W was ordered even less than MY/B.
Just a fun fact to make us all feel more special!

Looking at the MINI-USA 'Configurator' Mellow Yellow was not appealing at all.
Lucky that I visited a dealer with a large inventory to see the colors and sit in the interiors.
This quickly put my previous color choice out of contention and Mellow Yellow with Black stood out above all (PW/B would have been a distant second choice and that had been true from configurator as well).
