seat back pull straps

anyone tried the seat back pull straps some of the aftermkt. guys sell for MINIs ?
Reaching for those seats to pull them back up after they have been lowered is a big PIA. Always hated dealing with that with the 04 Cooper.

I'm quite surprised they expect us to reach in there, it is a real PITA. Adding a strap from the factory can't really be that big of a burden on them.

I have them on both my MINIs and am sooo happy! Mine have velcro on the backs, so they just stick to the rear seatback carpeting when not in use. Sure saves one from becoming a contortionist.

Like the paper clip, so simple and so useful.

Moss has them too. A long term observation: yes they have velcro and stick quite nicely to the material on the rear seat backs when not in use...........BUT...........the velcro also starts to fray the material after a few dozen pulls.

Actually, I also have one set that doesn't have the velcro on the back, so I merely tuck it thru that metal horizontal latch-piece when the seats are down. This keeps the strap handy for when I want to move the seatbacks back up.

I've never had an issue with the velcro affecting the carpet material and the straps have been on my Cooper since 2004.

An easy fix is to secure a mate piece of velcro to the seat back.

I bought mine from gominigo.com http://www.gominigo.com/18645.html. For such a simple item it makes a big improvement.

I've got a set on my '03, and they're the handiest cheapest mod you can make. I would recommend those and a glove box organizer (for the '02-'06) to ANYONE with a MINI.
