Windshield fluid leak?

It seems that the driver's side windshield fluid nozzle must have a slow leak or something, 'cause there's always this one-line trail of fluid dried up on the bonnet.

The bigger problem is that in our 100+ degree heat lately, it seems to have calcified on the black bonnet stripe. Normal washing doesn't remove the dried line on the stripe. I don't want to use something abrasive and ruin the stripe. Any suggestions? Anyone else have a similar problem?

I think the rear window fluid dispenser is doing the same thing, but there's no stripe to ruin. What's up with that?

(FYI, my MINI is only about 3 weeks old...1,300 miles on it.)

Not rare at all; every dealer knows about it.
I'm looking for some sort of insulation for the feed lines.
I'll let you know...

Your dealer should also cover replacing the bonnet stripes under warranty, but I'd wait until it stops weeping before having them replace it/them.

I was thinking the same thing. Was thinking of something like foam insulation or heat tape. Looking forward to your find however....

Mine does that in hot weather as well. I knew it was temperature related. R56 must be the hottest car ever made in history!
