Rocket launchers, ejector seat? Sounds like it'll be a beauty!

I'll bet you'll need to add another $1,000 to $1,500 to that MSRP for an 08 model. Ouch!

When MINI USA goofed and set the hardtops to the 08 convertible pricing, our just delivered 07 MCS was $1,000 more configured as an 08 model and it wasn't as optioned out as your car is.

At this point, no one knows for sure what MINI USA is going to do with the prices on the 08 cars, but it's something to keep in mind.

BTW, we have the PDC and nav on our new MCS. It's very cool the way it displays on the nav screen and it is indeed quite helpful when reversing the car. However, I'd say that it doesn't even come close to being as good as the rear view camera that's installed on my 05 nav equipped MCS though.

I'd order the PDC option again (but only if the car had nav!), but I think that it would be nicer to hold onto the cash and then add in a true reverse camera once someone figures out how to add a video input into the 2nd gen nav equipped cars (which I imagine won't be long in coming now).

Also, it's nice that MINI now puts the PDC sensors down in the black part of the rear bumper instead of smack dab in the middle of the painted portion of the rear bumper as they do/did on the 1st gen cars.

with a name like going4speed, i must wonder why you are thinking to add PDC?
i'd also choose the Tuscan beige in the BRG over the Redwood.. although its nice, the Tuscan beige is a nicer combo with your color choice (IMHO).. especially with the english oak you are considering..
enjoy!!

$$$

i ordered mine with one option ... the sport package. i should have go the lsd but again not nessesary for my type of driving... sure it's always nice to have 11 thousand in options but....do you need that to feel good.

to some people a car is all the need. to some all they need is a wife or a house...

im guilty all i needed was a car for now but my ideas change all the times.

I have the PDC and don't have NAV, and still find it useful.

Can you post a picture of what the NAV shows you when PDC finds something?

You might think about the wood/leather multi function steering wheel, it looks really great with the wood dash. It should also come with a wood gearshift ****. I think since you are getting the leather multi function wheel outside of the premium package it's only an additional $200. Be worth thinking about anyway. Your build sounds wonderful.
