Any Regrets (or general thoughts) Re: Rooster Red Color Line?
Hello everyone, this is my first post!!
I have been a car guy all of my life and have spent a lot of time on car forums. I like how everyone on this forum is so upbeat and helpful vs. other forums where everyone is just so darn negative most of the time. (especially with new members...)
My question: for people with a similar color combo (or anyone with an opinion) is there any regrets with this color combo? I just wonder if it is just "too much rooster".
I wonder if I should swap out the rooster color line with something more conservative and and maybe replace the piano black with the silver trim. I don't want to dump the seats as I really like them.
BTW, I did a search and saw some pictures. They are helpful but I was just looking for a new fresh set of inputs. Also, I couldn't find any pictures that also included the anthracite headliner.
Exterior
Chili Red
Black roof and mirrors
Sunroof
Interior
Rooster red leather/cloth seats
Rooster red color line
Piano black trim
Anthracite headliner
Thanks!

Yeah, if I had gone with CR/B instead of CR/W I probably would have picked piano black too. Either way you can't go wrong with the rooster red!

My MINI has a complete black and white (cream) theme going on, so I can't speak from experience, but even so I say go for it!!! I love the way those rooster red cloth/leather seats look. I actually may have gone for them myself (and saved 900 bucks!) if the exterior of my MINI was a different color.
IMO if you're getting the seats you might as well go for the color line as well. It ties the entire theme together very neatly and does not 'over red' the car at all. I actually think it gives the interior a very well thought out and 'custom' look of sorts.
As has been said numerous times on this thread many and others, definitely go for the anthracite headliner. Most who don't opt for it end up sorely missing it even giving the $200 savings. Granted it should cost a lot less to change the color of one's headliner and interior pillars, but it's money well spent, trust me. Not to mention the cost of trying to do it after the fact is ridiculous. Especially with all the black in your interior, I can't imagine the putty grey being a very good look.
Also, as you said, given your complete red/black theme I'd go for the piano black trim. Any of the silver options would probably look good as well, but IMO the black complements the rest of your MINI best. Best of luck, it's gonna be quite a beauty!

If you're getting the cloth/leather seats then definitely go ahead and get the color line. It looks so good. Plus the color line's free with the seats, so it's totally a no brainer.
It definitely makes the car just as awesome looking on the inside as on the outside.
And if you're going for a completely red/black look then the Anthracite headliner is a must as well.

I say go for the Red. I currently have a black T-Bird with a red interior (The seats are pretty much opposite of Mini's with the red in the middle) and a red trim all the way around the dash and doors and I love it. I would have gotten it again with my mini that's on order but it wasn't available with my color. That and I'm broke. Go for it! It's such an attention getter/nice surprise. People don't realize you have all that hidden goodness until they open the door to get in.
