Looks like you and I ordered almost the same car... Well, except the sport package, interior surface, stripes, and rims. Great color choice!

Nice config and great color. I would have found a way for the cold weather package.

Of course, that is because it is like 5 degrees outside right now.

Pictures when you get it in a few weeks, you will find many things to keep you busy while you wait. See the tracking threads.

I would but I'm trying to keep this under $28K...plus, the car will be in the garage overnight. I figure I've lived without heated seats this long, I'll never know the difference.

P.S. I'm also thinking about getting the sports (middle) bonnet and boot stripes instead of just the bonnet strips...that would add more to the price.

The bigger deal that the heated seats for me was the heated mirrors and washerjets. Plus, you can get the stripes installed down the road. You can't retrofit the CWP. If you're picking one over the other, just another thing to think about.

congrats on the order!

one thing you might want to add is the rear fog lights they only cost an extra $100 and it will fill all the toggle switches.

that's one option i looked over and wish i had it, wouldn't use them but would like to have a full toggle switches.

Nice config. The waiting is an eternity, until it is over.

You're in MO, and you didn't think you would use the cold weather package? Hmm. I'm in California and like the heated seats. Used them today.

I truly don't think I'll use the cold weather package. It is cold here but heated seats have never been my thing...I don't really see the point. Heated mirrors would only come in handy if I happened to be in a parking lot when there was an ice storm, probably not going to happen. Don't really see a need for heated washers either, the washer fluid is rated not to freeze...so, I'll save the money. Believe me, I'll never miss those options.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind. It really comes down to not buying a package I will probably never use.

Nice build.

Unless you are really in love with the bonnet stripes I'd remove them in favor of some of the aftermarket options. Personally, I think the factory stripes just look incomplete. Also, you will want to look into tint for the windows and sunroof but then you've probably already seen those threads.

I didn't go with CWP on my build either but I live in SC and will have cloth seats. It's a personal choice. I think if you've never experienced them then you won't be missing anything. I just couldn't see myself using them.

The stripes are really the only thing I'm on the fence about. I'd really rather have the center stripes (black on the bonnet, dark silver on the roof, and black on the boot). I'll probably tell my MA that I want those when she calls me to confirm. Just can't stay under $28K

There were a couple things that I didn't like about the stripes that came from MINI. 1) They don't go across the bumpers. 2) They stop about 1/8 of an inch from the top and bottom of the bonnet/boot. These things were enough to make me decide to get them done at a local vinyl shop vs. ordering them from MINI. Personal preference I guess.

Hmmm, this explains what my MA told me over the phone. She said that they (the dealership I'm working with) offer a wide variety of after-market stripes that wrap around the bumper.

Thanks!

I just canceled the factory bonnet stripes and will have the after-market sports stripes installed instead. Price caps are for professional sports, not Minis

P.S. Don't tell my wife.

Nice package, but I second the CWP. The heaters are the best I've ever seen. I live in Springfield which is less cold than St Louis and I love them. Also, get the rear fog. It is useful in many ways (like scaring the tailgaiters off!).

Hold your ground. Refuse to listen to all those wimps with poor circulation in their you-know-whats! Remember when men were men and did without buttwarmers in their cars. Stay true to your convictions. Be a man! (at least I assume you're a man, or you'd have made the heated seats your first option).

Yeah, I'm a guy and I don't need any nut roasters or bun warmers.

The reason for the heated seats is that they will warm up faster than the MINI's heater, but if it ain't your thing...

Not really something I'm interested in. I actually enjoy the cold and I've never had heated seats before. I'm sure you could say I don't know what I'm missing...and you'd be right
