Choosing Motoring ID and R53/56???

Can someone tell me where on the MiniUsa website to find the page to choose my motoring id? I found it once a while back but wasn't ready to do it, and now i dont know how i got to it.

Also, I see lots of people talking and posting pics of R53's and R56's. What is this? Can someone please give me a quick rundown?

Thanks!

to get to the Motoring ID, sign in on the MINIUSA Owner's Lounge, once signed in, you'll see a tab on the left, at the very top is the tab Motoring ID.
R53 is the older version of the the MINI and R56 is the 2007+ MINI

Thanks for the R53/56 explanation.

I still didn't see a tab for the Motoring ID. Maybe i'll just play around with it some more b/c i've seen it before, so i know it's around there somewhere!

I use mine for my NAM username and my license plate.
Other than that... nothing that I am aware of.

when someone sees a motoring id on your MINI, they can go to the motoring id database, do a quick search and see who they saw on the road... once you find the person you have the option to send them a msg... my R56 motoring id is Wild 825 (Wild cuz he was a dragon and 825 cuz that was my birthday) Coop's motoring id is Coop 321 (Coop cuz that's his name and 321 cuz that's HIS birthday)

Ah, gotcha. Thanks

Now -- anyone know if it's possible to change your NAM username?

Yes, you can change the NAM username... on the left hand side is the main menu tab, click on Contact Us. It will bring up another page, click on Change Username, it will then bring up a PM box where you input 3 possible name changes you would like to have with #1 being the one you REALLY want... Then just send the form and depending on how busy and distracted the admin is, your name will be changed anywhere from that day to following day or two.
