Go straight the Detailing 101 forum a ways below this one. That's the place for this stuff, and there's lots of it there, trust me.

I guess I graduated from all the things currently in my garage: Nu-Finish (good on bathroom sinks), Zymol (big box store version), Eagle One, 3M stuff, etc. I'm patiently waiting for my Prima bundle from DP after reading so many great things about them. I've read on Zaino, but have not yet caught the bug. It's early yet.

I use Ice by Turtle Wax. Not as expenses as others. If you have a lot of imperfections in the paint you may want to use something else.

If you have a dark coloured car, 2 Coats of Zymol Carbon and 2 coats of REJEX!!! Don't forget to store the Zymol in the fridge.
Real Zymol (remember the stuff in the bottle isn't real zymol, but turtle wax) gives you a deep shine and the REJEX protects the finish and makes all the dirt just wash off.
If you have a light coloured car, then just 2 coats of REJEX. Google for it and you will see many porsche owners love the stuff and even use it on the inside of their wheels so brake dust won't stick. I should also mention, it's not very expensive either.

Asking for wax recommendations on a car enthusiasts' forum is like asking who has the cutest grandchild in south Florida...

What he said - for shine and protection that is long lasting I would go Zaino. If you are one who likes to (and is able to with weather and space) detail your car for fun monthly or more than I would say any number of products (see suggestions in previous posts) would fit your needs.

you will NOT be disappointed! believe me, the prep work can be a hassle but if you do a through job (take your time, and do steps slowly), zaino will last, and last, and last!

I love Zymol, the real stuff, from www.zymol.com. The Turtle wax is in fact Turtle Wax... great for your shell, but not for my MINI.
Zymol carbon works on all colors of cars, dark and light, and gives a great shine and protects paint very, very well. I used it for nine years on my Z3 roadster, and the car always looked brand new till the day I sold it. My Cooper S gets Zymol, and stays shiny even when it is dirty.
Try several products and see what you like best. Zaino is supposed to be quite good as well.
