how can I tell that I have all weather tires on my mini? I'm picking up my mini today and the dealer is swapping out the performance ones for the all weather. Thanks
I'm probably too late, but my all season stock tires from my 2007 MCS are: Continental ContiProContact SSR. I don't think they were particularly great in the snow, but I did get home with a running start on a hill.
I'd imagine you would be able to search Google the tire brand and type to figure that one out. Plan B - Look at the available tires on tire rack for your wheel size and it may have info as well.
It's on the sidewall. It will have the initials M + S or M/S or something similar.
That stands for mud and snow. I have the 15" Contis, and it says M+S. It also says about a hundred other things, I never saw so much writing on a sidewall! Continental even puts their web address on the sidewall!
The 'performance' (I say 'performance', because the stock Cooper tire size is pretty skinny) tires that came on the 15" Rotator wheels were Energys by Michelin.
the 16" all season tires that come stock are the Continental ContiProContact SSR are really good and got pretty good survey ratings at TireRack. I used them in the snow and was very pleased.
