Female, anglo, married, grandmother of 3 (boys - 2,4, and 5), turning 50 next month.
Prior cars: Honda Civic, Honda Accord, Acura Integra (what a fun car!), BMW 540i (the car that taught me to love driving fast - and autocrossing - and driving schools! - loved her in Calif, but she didnt do well in the snow when we moved to PA), trading in an Acura RL (great car, but a pig - too heavy and big, underpowered). Can't wait to get my new GoGreen - looking forward to motoring in a fun car again (on ship due in NY on May 28th!)

30, white, male, taken, not married yet (it's unevitable after 8 years! )
I switched from a 2005 Nissan Frontier 4x4 to the MINI. Not because of gas prices as some may suspect but for the love of all things MINI! I test drove one and instantly fell in love. I wish I could still have that truck, it was awesome but was wearing on me as a daily driver. I plan to buy some sort of SUV, so the MINI can enjoy a nice warm garage in the cold snowy months.

28 y.o. chinese american male
previous cars:
1997 explorer v8 (still have it; it's the most environmentally friendly car around, 'cuz it never gets driven now)
1993 mazda rx-7 r1 (best i've ever owned)
1993 saab 900 se turbo (great car, super cheap used)
the mini tends to have a pretty wide demographic range. i've seen lots of older people driving it as well as mid-life crisis types (w/ all due respect ) as well as the super rich as well as people who work on or build cars as well as regular joes as well as kids

35 year old Indian male, married with no kids! This is my wife's car, but I have sorta hijacked the MINI...
Previous cars:
In the US 1993 Mitsubishi Mirage sedan, trusty little oil burner with 40 MPG..Oh!! I loved that car. Donated to our local charity when we got the MINI.
In India:
1996 Fiat Uno, sorta reminds me of the MINI (roomy and very frugal with gas)
1990 Premier Padmini (the ubiquitous black and yellow cabs of Mumbai). More info at http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S...y/1442/pad.htm
1984 Premier Padmini

Am a single female with a wonderful 10 year old golden/german shepard mix named Luna. 45 years old... Don't be fooled by that though it's just a number. I don't live my life by it.
I have coveted a mini since they came to the states in 2001. Had a Subaru Outback Sport at the time that was only a couple years old and ran great so I figured I'd wait a few years. Seven years later... (I know what took me so long!?!) here I am awaiting delivery of my new Nightfire Mini! Can't wait!!
Other cars...
1966 Plymouth VIP (It was pale yellow. My friends called it the Banana Mobile.)
1980 Horizon TC3 (Affectionately known as Lil Red.)
1986 Nissan 200SX (Fun to drive but rearwheel drive is not good in snow. lol)
1992 Suzuki Sidekick (Loved the 4x4!)
1999 Subaru Outback Sport (Most reliable though not the funnest.)

38 year old happily partnered gay man. Been building VW's since I was was 16, bugs, busses, squarebacks and fastbacks. Driven everything from honda civic hatchbacks to jeep wranglers. Last car was a 2001 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. We had a Pontiac Aztek that (thankfully) got totalled. Our Insurance actually gave us waaaaay over bluebook for it, so we payed off the Bonneville, then we got my Mini. By far, the best car that I've ever driven as well as owned.

Since I gave the car to my wife last month and sold hers...
She's a semi-white Brazilian-American female, over 29.
I can tell you from experience, Mini owners are a very white group overall...
Isn't it funny how some vehicles are very demographic-specific. Same goes for my Jeep crew. My motorcycle group was even worse.
Anybody want to poll Escalade owners?

I think that would depend on which is the majority in your area.

07 MCS -- Great Machine
Grandfather, 43 (hexadecimal), sturdy German stock + Norwegian heritage.
Current: 07 MCS, 6 speed ... easy for Grandmother and I to get in and out of ... arthritic joints notwithstanding
Previous joys include: 03 Z4, 3 liter, Steptronic >> 97 Z3, 1.9 liter, 5 speed >> ... >> 1963.5 Ford Falcon Sprint Convertible, 260 V8, 4 speed manual ...first new car as USAF lieutenant ... that car would fly, and did from time to time!
First vehicle driven, exactly sixty years ago today: 47 Ford tractor on Oregon farm ... had to stand fully on clutch and pull up on steering wheel to (dis)engage --- otherwise didn’t weigh enough ... a ‘problem’ since overcome just a bit

55 yo white married male, 2 kids, a dog, and a cat. Does that make me typical?
First MINI. Left a 2001 Merc Grand Marquis V8, 215hp. Kids said I was having a mid-life crisis. I smiled a mini grin at them from the driver's seat of my CPR MC and asked simply, "What crisis?"
