Today I took my '08 MCS in for warranty work, etc.

I dropped off my '08 MCS this morning for some warranty work and an oil change. After my long driving trip from Florida to Minnesota and back I had amassed 5050 miles on my odometer to date from when I bought it April 5th.

I did experience the "hot" driver footwell that some others have mentioned here on NAM and also with the Bi-Xenon headlights out of alignment due to constant flashing from driver's in oncoming traffic and some very ticked off truckers who tried to run me off the highway several times!!

So those are being looked at along with the wiper blades which work like crap and also my first oil change based on what others have mentioned also on NAM.Yes $120 is expensive to pay at the dealership but I prefer to be safe then sorry but the next oil change will be free on my first service interval.

My SA did say he has seen a few MCS's come in for the hot footwell before but they will need to contact MINI to see what they can do to repair that.

BTW I did get a 2008 Jetta as a loaner car and it took me a few minutes to remember the basics since the MINI is a bit different regarding the turn signals and the speedometer is in front of you instead of in the center of the dash..LOL

Hear ya about driving a different car. Have a thread in general you might relate too.

Did you stay long in MN? Hope the weather was decent while you were here. We've been bombarded by storms lately.
