OK! It's confession time! I have an '03 CR MC. That's not the confession. I bought a stock R50 S sway bar off some guy here on NAM. Why, because I naively assumed my JustaCooper didn't have a sway bar and I figured an S sway bar would be a great first mod. Obviously, I eventually discovered that taking off my 16mm sway bar and putting on a 17mm sway bar wasn't going to make a hill-of-beans difference.
So what's my point? Just that there are a lot of us who are not into the whole performance mod thing. But that absolutely does not mean for one single solitary second that I do not love my MINI with a passion. And NSXguy is just totally clueless as to what the MINIverse is all about if he thinks he and his kind are the only ones who know how to truly love and respect MINI's.

Shhhhh. Mini didn't really make a Police Interceptor Limited Edition Mini Cooper S, or offer the Nürburgring Package. I totally made that up.

NSXGuy - you're so funny; see what you started!?!
I hate it being called a "clown car" - and thankfully, haven't heard that in a LOOOONG time. Now, that being said, I'm not above giving myself (or other drivers who actually pay attention to detail) a chuckle or laugh over something I've put on the car. These things crack me up; life is WAY too serious as it is, so we really ought to put a little more laughter into it. The EVIL side of me, however, is hooked on "the devil is in the details" side of it....which means that it's only funny if someone is REALLY paying attention!!! Which is why I have my vanity plates (on the Mini and my truck) arranged as I do. I crack myself up all the time; MAN, i'm funny! (And looks don't count.)
Motor on, NSXGuy.
