ordering a 08 mini cooper
Hello everyone,
I want to order a new mini cooper S. I went on to the site and my perfectly built mini adds up to $29,254 msrp plus accessories. Does anyone know if this is negotiable at a dealer? I live in Las Vegas where there is one dealer, and can order from L.A. too, where there are 8 Mini dealers. Can I offer them 29,254 out the door all taxes included? Any info is appreciated. Thank you

If you use all the negotiating skills at your disposal you might get a small discount, or you might get nothing off, or you might get free floormats....depends on the dealership. With MINIs in high demand, and on an '08, I would urge you to be prepared to deal with straight MSRP. Add to that any TTL. Yes, you could walk, but then you'd get no MINI. It's just that way with MINIs and pretty much always has been, so don't feel bad...or make the dealer feel bad.

This mini is by far selling better then any other mini.. Why.... Very simple great built car and super performance, milage and design.. Price well it is worth it.. If any one finds a dealing dealer they will let us know.. My clubman took 31/2 weeks to be built, shipped, and it is at the dealer in NY waiting to be transported to Wa.. Sure it costs me a bit but 14-16 weeks out to order from Wa, Or, and the bumped up prices in CA.. I too NY... CATGUY

Looks like floor mats and a full gas tank (did last me more than a month) are pretty universal 'free' for most buyers.
T T & R will vary by dealer and State, we did get a nice refund from Ferman MINI on excess Title & Registration fee.
There is a $650 Delivery shown on your MINI USA Configurator.
Most Dealers also tack on +/- $500 "Dealer Prep" (extra markup) on all cars.
You will usually get the best 'deal' near the end of a month, if a Dealer happens to have a large inventory in stock.
If you are fortunate enough to have a 'hometown' MINI Dealer, I would think it would be worthwhile to pay a little extra to buy from them. You could still 'shop' for 'best' but give them a chance to meet it.

FWIW, I paid $95 in dealer fees to get my car. Tax and DMV/RMV fees should not be confused with dealer charges as they vary from state to state and are not going to the dealer.
