Rear Seat protectors?

The clubman has a dealer option of rear seat protectors as part 52300415606.

Does the standard Coup have a similar seat protector offered?

Projectors? Where'd you get that?

Msduncan - not sure how many DEALERS offer, but there is something like it for the MCS. If you shop around on some of the vendor sites, especially ones catering to pets, you'll see some. I think there are two kinds - one kind that's actually sheet-like (seats up, and seats down I think) and there's one that I have - which is just a heavy plastic mat that covers the back of the seats (which I almost always have down). Both are kinda pricey....but so worth it with dogs that don't care as much about your MINI as you do...

Heh, heh heh...I'm pretty sure the seat cover meant for the dogs will help with the kids. (as long as the seat belts come through.) If I find that site I'd seen them on, I'll repost.

Are these what you are talking about?

Solution: Contacted the dealer and asked if there was a Rear Seat Protector available for the Clubman. The answer was -- yes! So I canceled the Boot Protector and ordered the Rear Seat Protector instead. I picked it up yesterday, my darling husband installed it this morning, and Sapphire was a HUGE fan of crawling her way up into the back seat instead of facing those mean steps up to the boot.

Installation was very easy (being able to read pictures helps!). Now if the harness I ordered for her will just come in off of backorder, we'll be all set!

(and this is Miss Sapphire enjoying her favourite pastime)

mine has dark grey cloth seats....I cut a black terri cloth towel to shape to tuck in all around on the rear seat bottom with 2 slots for the seat belt buckles in the center...as well as cutting an old plastic table cloth underneath the towel to make this waterproof (just in case as we've only had this puppy a couple weeks and still working on the housebreaking). This arrangement worked well last year when our 15 year old cocker was on his last days and could not hold his bladder. This way it is simple to just throw the towel in the washer if the dog throws up, or something, and it looks like a normal comfortable seat for the occasional human who sits back there, alone or with the pup.

Which is a HUGE point - the washing! Most of the custom MINI covers aren't washable, except spot-washing...which is not that much fun for kid-couriers. Dogs don't care always, but kids kinda dislike the funk after a while. I went with the black plastic mats (which were actually made for the '04 MCS I had, and just moved into the '07 when I sold the former) so all I had to do was take 'em out and hose 'em down.

Do these help msduncan?

Yes thank you! I'll check some of these out. Though the linked pictures above is definately for the clubman, which I assume won't fit the coup.

No, the Clubman one won't fit the MC/MCS but it's a great thing to know is out there.

Here's two items of what I was talking about, for the '07 MCS model - a tad pricey, but in the long run....? The first two items on this page. This page is actually for MY local MINI dealer, but they'll ship to you, too if you want. I'm not sure if you can find it cheaper elsewhere, but DO know it's out there!
