I just ordered from Mini of Peabody yesterday. Definitely no freebies or discounts, and I was actually surprised at the tough sell on all the scotchguards and truecoats and whatnot. It actually reminded me of the scene in the movie Fargo...

Aside from that, they were really nice, and low pressure. Considering that they are supposed to be the #1 volume dealer in the US, I was disappointed at my week 31 production slot. But, it won't take away from my excitement at joining the club. Can't wait to go pick up my new Mini in two months.

I seemed to almost hit the optimal timing for catching a ship directly to SC. Anyway, 30 to 40 days is probably accurate right now for MC or MCS. The clubmans are backed up way beyond that.
I guess I did fairly well. I ordered an MC to my spec (dealer promised mid-August delivery). He gave me $200 off of MSRP, floor mats and a split key ring (don't want to scratch the dash with the rest of my keys).

I got the production number the next day and ASK-MINI advised a Week 27 build. I'll keep my keys and finger crossed.

MINI of Towson (MD.) is adding a $65.00 "Fuel Surcharge" to the sticker, which is on top of their $95.00 "Dealer processing charge", So, in addition to making the profit between cost & MSRP, they are making another $160.00 per vehicle, for nothing.
