How cold is your AC?
We had a small heat wave a couple weeks back, and I was switching between my two cars (Land Rover Discovery and Mini Cooper S). I noticed that the air coming from the vents in the Mini, wasn't ice cold like it is in the Disco. I checked the vents, and the fan speed, which did help the volume of air, but after sitting in the sun all day, the car was not able to get the temp of the car to something resembling cool.
Anyone else have a problem with the A/C in the MCS?

My 08 MCS, with the auto AC, gets really cold. There have been times when I have had to turn the temp up because it was so cold. And yes this was in the summer on a hot day, approx 95 outside.
Maybe I'm just not used to having AC as the other cars sux, a 98 Rodeo that has to have it's AC recharged at least once a year.

Was dealing with the same type issue on my CPO '04, but also the air flow seemed a little sluggish as well. Replaced the in-cabin air filter with a new carbon filter and voila. The old one likely had never been changed by the PO cause it was filthy and completely clogged. Not sure how air was getting through. Since then air flow seems more brisk and A/C more efficient. Just a thought....

I have a Clubman which means I have to cool alot more interior space than you..my air works okay, comes right on, and if I put it on MAX at the beginning and vent the heated air out of the car as I start. I usually can get cooled down within about a mile..that means the whole cabin comfortable. It doesn't "blow" as hard as my other vehicles but it does get the job done - eventually!
